Wasn't there already two versions of this show? There was the original 24 with Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer, that lasted for 6 or 7 seasons. Then a few years later there was one new season, taking place in London, also with the same actor and character. Some time later there was a new 24 following the same format but with completely different characters. I don't know if the plan was for it to run for several years, but it only lasted one season.

Yeah. That's pretty much the only reason I would watch another season of 24. This time they should give proper resolution to the character.

But is Jack a Disney princess now? Could they move to F/X to be more mature now?

Make it a movie and end it. It had a good run, don't run it into the ground.

Sutherland may be up for it, but this viewer isn't.

There used to be talk of doing a movie, so I suppose they could do that - although I never felt a movie would suit the format of the show. These days, I don't imagine a network would want to do a 24 episode season of a show - although there still might be a few shows doing that many.
