I don't get this talking point. She's American. She's black (partially). Jamaica's blacks come from Africa. They were British brought slaves from the continent just like the United States' slaves were. So why are people saying she's not African-American? I mean if you go by origin or origin of origin, then we're all African American. She's not. She's a black lady or a Jamacian/Indian American but she's definitely not African American. Charilize Theron is more African American than she is. So the deciding factor is that there can't be a stop in between Africa and the United States? Jamaica is part of North America, but we're just talking about African-United Statesian? Other than being lighter, my guess is her experience didn't differ from other blacks in the United States. I don't think most racists say "she's alright - - there was a stop between Africa and the US in her family tree".

Well, team Kamala/Biden came out today with their first big joint idea: the mandatory forcing of all Americans to wear masks, at all times.
It's gonna be pretty hard to enforce a law that requires 350,000,000 million people to all do the same thing. I would imagine this will require a lot more police to make sure people follow the rules, but wait a minute, Democrats want to defund and eliminate police, so not sure how this is gonna work.
Looks like we're gonna need a bigger boat of social workers to arrive from somewhere.
Of course, it would have been helpful for Candidate Harris to explain these things, but her and her lackey refused to take questions from the press.
So.......enforcing all citizens to adhere to a rule, while also refusing to explain anything to the press.....hmmm, sounds like something a tyrant might do. But I thought Trump was the tyrant?
Once again folks, especially those who will never agree with this, if a Democrat is accusing a Conservative of something awful, it's a safe bet that it's the Democrat who actually does the awful thing. Unfortunately, it took me a looooong time to figure this out, hopefully some of you realize this a lot quicker.

Charilize Theron is more African American than she is. She's of direct African ancestry (as opposed to me, the most Caucasian person you'll ever meet despite the fact that homo sapiens evolved in Africa) and was born and raised in the US. Hence, African-American. Saying she isn't African-American sounds like a right wing ploy to try to push black voters away from her.

Both sides have politicized the virus since March, but Biden making mandatory masks into part of his platform could backfire on him. Even at the state level, there should be a different set of rules depending on case count in your area, let alone nationally. I disagree with the need for an explanation. It seems pretty straightforward, he believes everyone should wear a mask in public. In fact, by not explaining the specifics-- including penalties for noncompliance, it makes him look less like the tyrant you're concerned about. I mean it's not like he threatened US citizens with 'vicious dogs' or 'ominous weapons.'

I was trying to be smug at the very end without turning my post into the opening salvo of the next battle.

Why are you bringing up Obama? I thought this thread was about the race involving Kamala Harris and Trump.
