I believe I called this two months ago. I'm fine with it. Whatever it takes to defeat train wreck Trump.

Predictable choice for a host of obvious reasons. Plus, from what I can gather, Wall Street likes her because she hasn't been as harsh on financial firms during the debates when compared to some of the other choices (although she did openly discuss funding health care reform in part with taxes on financial institution transactions). Silicon Valley loves her because she's been involved in those fundraising circles for years and while she supports increased regulation on privacy protection which will undoubtedly cut into the untold billions those companies make, she hasn't openly supported the breakup of Big Tech (Apple, Facebook, Google and Microsoft), which is something that has garnered bipartisan support from the likes of Elizabeth Warren and Ted Cruz in recent years and will undoubtedly come up in the coming years.
With that, big business and Silicon Valley are more likely to throw support Biden's way with her on the ticket than if he had gone with Klobuchar.

I’ll say this about her - if they have a Vice Presidential debate this year she’ll completely annihilate Pence much like a praying mantis after mating. Pence inspires zero confidence much like Trump yet in totally different ways.

The most famous moment in a Vice Presidential debate came in 1988 when Lloyd Bentson reminded Dan Quayle that Quayle wasn't JFK. It was a nasty shot at Quayle that was a huge deal when it happened........and of course, ended up meaning nothing as Bush/Quayle won the Presidency. Now speaking of debates, your boy Biden is gonna debate Trump, right? All three times? I mean, Ol' Joe is a tough guy, yes? I'm sure a "fighter" like Joe ain't afraid of actual debates with Orange Man. Cuz if he doesn't debate Trump? Ohhhh, that's a bad look.....

Trump has already floated the idea of delaying the election, that's how scared he is. Personally I won't be watching the debates. Biden might make some solid points, or he might spend the whole time referencing 60 year old movies. Either way Trump will just spend the entire time fabricating narratives left and right. He can't open his mouth without lying, it's not worth listening to anything he has to say.

Or bother watching? I would think that a strong candidate for the highest office in the land who be ready, willing, and able to take on a "liar" like Trump, and expose his lies to the American public while providing a better alternative. Time will tell if Biden is such a candidate. And I can't help but wonder what your reaction would be if it was Trump's handlers suggesting that the debates shouldn't take place, much like Biden's friends in the media have already done.

So let's say that there are debates, and Biden comes off in the same way that he has been coming off in any of his recent "interviews" or "press conferences"? You know, bumbling around trying to finish a complete sentence, not really knowing where he is, or what subject is being discussed. And let's say that Trump, armed with all of his "lies", comes out and levels Biden in the debates. Regardless of your personal feelings about Trump, you can't be dumb enough to think that he can't out-debate Biden. You don't think that helps Trump? I know your brain is closed more securely than a bear trap, but there are many independent voters who are like, you know, independent thinkers. And these upcoming debates, if Biden shows up, could be a HUGE factor towards how many very important votes in swing states are determined.

I didn't say the debates shouldn't happen. I even used the word 'personally' in my post, no further clarification should be necessary. I have no idea what Biden is going to say or how it might help or hurt him with the general public. I personally would vote for Biden's corpse over Trump, so I personally have no need to watch the debates.
Hardcore party members from both sides will say their guy 'leveled' the other guy no matter what happens in the debates. I've criticized Biden and Trump on this board, I don't know how much more of an 'independent thinker' I need to be to suit your idea of an independent voter.

I too was hoping for Klobuchar. Living in the Midwest I have been following her for a few years now. She would of made an excellent choice. She wouldn't hide in the back round like Mike Pence. I think she would be like Biden was when he was VP, hands on and willing to take on anything. She is also very likeable unlike Harris Klobuchar was ruled out on George Floyd day. Likeable may not be important here, especially when she takes on Pence in debate. I don't know if you watched Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing. (I did because I loved watching him squirm and get red-faced when asked about the alcohol driven sexual improprieties of his past). Klobuchar showed her grit during that hearing. She is an excellent debater and can show her claws when necessary. You are right though. After the murder of George Floyd she withdrew her name from consideration.

I'll consider you an independent thinker when I see you say something complimentary about both sides. And whatever you think about the debates doesn't really have anything to do with what I'm saying about how Trump will destroy Biden in a debate. Just because you choose not to watch or care doesn't mean that lessens the importance of what will happen on the debate stage. All I'm saying is that these debates will be hugely important and Biden's performance against a guy like Trump will go a long way towards how many currently undecided voters will go. And that's the truth, regardless of how you personally feel about it. Jesus, stop making everything about you, dude.

He was working and enjoying life as a truck driver before serious diabetes led to him losing his legs. He actually died from a heart attack after contracting covid. Some facts that will interest you: he was Hulk Hogan's 4th highest drawing prigram behind Savage, Andre and Orndorff. He and Jerry Lawler drew a 6500 crowd when they toured a town of 5,000 people. They also sold out the Memphis auditorium in 1983, one of the last matches to do so. His feud with the Von Erich's was one of thw biggest drawing programs in WCCW history. He refused to deal with WWE again after Summerslam 1992 after he received $15,000 for his match while his opponent, The Undertaker, reportedly received only $500. awesome stuff.
i found this a bit shocking - what's your view on this -
i know Kerry was really screwed up (i.e. drugs) - and wasn't really dependable (i.e. would show up to matches out of it) - but apparently in his dying WWF days - Kamala was going over him during house shows. i know Kamala was a big name - but I just felt Von Erich was bigger and it was a missed opportunity by WWF just giving him the IC strap.
it's amazing - during that time WWF had Martel (AWA Champ), Hennig (AWA Champ), Von Erich (WCCW Champ), Flair (NWA Champ)

harris has a white husband is this going to go over well in the black and indian communities? She doesn't really talk all that "black" either, that might not go over well. She needs to study Hillary Clinton and learn how to change her accent depending on who she is talking too. Whenever Hillary spoke to black people, she would suddenly sound like Florence the maid from The Jeffersons. Kamala needs to work on that. I doubt it will happen, but it would be neat if someone could post the video of Hillary telling two black radio hosts that she never travels anywhere without a bottle of hot sauce. Now THAT'S how it's supposed to be done, Kamala must learn this.

You misunderstood my commentary, and now that I pointed out your mistake, you're shifting your argument to, "Well your opinion doesn't matter in this discussion. This is about everyone else!" Should I try to speak for others next time, or just continue to express my personal opinion?
Ha. "I'll consider you an independent thinker when you say something I agree with."
How long are you willing to literally argue nothing?
Calm down. Trump supporters are going to get more and more psychotic as we get closer to the election.
