Just that.
I loved the story-arc, it was excellent. Stark's "newfound" popularity as Iron Man, his "underground" fall from grace, the creation of the new element. It was an astonishing movie.
The action scenes were terrific, especially the aerial chase and the final fight.
Robert was at the top of his game, and the movie truly captured the spirit of the Iron Man comic book in a superb way.
IRON MAN 2 had heart, soul, wonderful production, great screenplay, convincing acting and it felt like a complete superhero movie.

No, part two felt like a step back from the first Iron Man. Mickey Rourke looks intimidating but he was one of the more forgettable MCU villains. Sam Rockwell as Justin Hammer is at least funny. The racetrack fight is the best scene.

The race track fight was good unfortunately the final fight with the full upgraded Whiplash was incredibly short.

Strong disagree, but to each their own. I like the ideas about a fall from grace plot with Stark if that were the main focus. We don’t really explore much into it though. Also they kind of waste Whiplash in favour of another businessman villain after Obidiah (albeit one played by Sam Rockwell in a fun way).
However in spite of being my least favourite, the movie isn’t really that bad and there is enjoyment to be had. Some of the action is fine, the acting is really good, and I like the scene where Tony watches Howard’s video recording. Also, it introduced us to ScarJo as BW. Can’t go wrong with that.

That said, I don’t mind her looks in the other movies. I mean, how can I?

I would agree with this because I would rather watch it over the first movie. And 3 is unwatchable so it's automatically out of the running.

That said, I don’t mind her looks in the other movies. I mean, how can I? IMHO, she's not handsome or beautiful like Charlize Theron. She's very pretty anyway. Fact is, the real Black Widow from comic books is slim, athletic, elegant, with a "fascinating" and "turbid" facial beauty. That's my personal view. I don't think that Scarlet truly fits into the role, but that's me. Personal opinion.

Anyway, wasn't Emily Blunt the original choice? I would have liked Charlize Theron, but ultimately it comes down to chemistry between the cast. If it isn't there, it won't work.

Again, the comic book Black Widow is almost a female counterpart to the comic book Matt Murdock. It's not only about the red hair, of course, but also the facial features. The Black Widow looks like a "dark lady".

Perspective? Watch them again. Hammer and Killian are pretty much trying to be Stark. Killian being the charismatic side. Obediah is Stark if he stayed on the path he was going. Obediah actually stopped that by having him captured. Hell, even Whiplash is a version of Stark.

I think the thing that scares/ scared people away from Iron Man 2 is that it is the 1st MCU movie taking place in the MCU. Hulk and Iron Man are MCU movies, but not really in the universe. They kept crying about it being an advertisement for Avengers because they couldn't mentally handle it actually leading to something bigger.

However I do think Killian from 3 is a step up since he had way more to do in that movie than Justin Hammer in this.
