Haven’t seen all of them, but First Class is very good; Logan is good; the rest are meh.
I’m just not an X-Men fan.
Logan remains absolutely unprecedented in how quickly it falls in multiple viewings. I’m afraid to watch it again, I might grow to genuinely hate it.

lol Really like the wording of the title to mean that none of them are bad.

Glad to see FC so close to X2. In the 2000s, before TDK, X2 was undoubtedly regarded as the best superhero movie along with "Spider-Man 2".

No it was considered one of the best, along with Spidey 2, Batman 89, Batman Begins and even Superman I think, hell the original TMNT movie fan wise was highly loved also, critics not so much but fans love that movie, X2 was a great flick and people did love it but no need to go into the falsehoods and hyperbole on it.

No it was considered one of the best, along with Spidey 2, Batman 89, Batman Begins and even Superman I think, I meant: it was considered the best in the "new superhero era", before the rise of Nolan's Batman and the MCU. By many standards, "Superman: The Movie" is still the perfect superhero movie and I would say that it's surely the "perfect superhero origin movie". Batman 1989 was never considered a masterpiece, even back in the Nineties; I would say that RETURNS was regarded as being better by many in the 1990s.

Nolan's Batman Begins came out like 2 years later, so they are part of the same era, Batman 89 was always the Batman movie I heard people talking about because it was the one that hit the sweet spot, not too dark and weird, but not overly kid friendly and whacky like Returns, Forever and & Robin were, it's also got a slightly higher fan rating on RT than X2 does, 4.01 at 84% vs. 3.98 at 85%, both with over 900,000 votes, and has a better IMDB rating also, by signs of fan approval most people consider Batman 89 a better movie than X2 it would seem.

And I must say that I have always read reviews here in Italy pointing out at that. IMHO, RETURNS had less success because it was more twisted and bizarre than its predecessor, and depicted some disturbing themes and imaginery.

Sorry what I meant was not too dark and weird, like Returns was, but not as overly kid friendly and whacky like Forever and & Robin were, Returns was a Tim Burton movie with Batman in it, whilst Batman 89 was a Batman movie with Burton flair to it, but yeah Returns did not do as well because of this, not just in theatres but in retail, Batman 89 made like $800-900m for WB between 89 and 91, but Returns was so dark and gross parents wouldn't buy their kids the toys, and McDonalds was really pissed with WB over it as well. Returns also freaked me out as a kid, and I grew up loving Terminator and Predator 1 & 2 respectively, but Penguin in Returns just fucking freaked me out something rotten.

This is the fucking best description of the "difference" between 1 and 2 I have ever read. I'm a HUGE Keaton's Batman fan. I love those two movies to the nth degree. Well, the movie was dark, bleak and melancholic, and Catwoman's origin sequences and disturbing personality scared the shit out of me at the time. I was only 15 when I watched the movie, you know, I was born in 1977... Pinguin was scary. His death was 100% gruesome and impressive. No wonder that the movie freaked out the parents and just fucked with Warner Bros's policy at the time. LOL
