Probably the best sequel of the series...My top 3 Nightmare flicks would go original Nightmare, Dream Warriors and New Nightmare...all the Nancy movies. Shes best final girl. I loved the dream powers covered here too.

My favorite NOES film. A lot of people hate the 2nd one, I think it's ok. Still a lot better than the silly, slapstick films that came after the 3rd.

The last act brings it down for me, but it is mostly effective at being what it is.
6.5/10

My favorite NOES film. A lot of people hate the 2nd one, I think it's ok. Still a lot better than the silly, slapstick films that came after the 3rd. I don't hate any of the A Nightmare on Elm Street movies, but I prefer Dream Master to Freddy's Revenge. ANOES3 already gets into really silly territory for me, like the TV scene and fighting skeletons. I am not knocking that stuff, but it is sillier than the stuff in the first 2 movies.

Easily my favourite after the original. One of the best sequels of all time.

This film is deemed as one of the favorites and arguably the best in the franchise by fans.
But for me, I didn't like it at all, unfortunately. I've seen this film on Halloween in 2017. I enjoyed some scenes and the Dream Warriors concept is cool. But I didn't like some of the characters, I felt that some scenes were lacking, and of course, that ending RUINED it for me.
I personally put this film as one of my least favorite films in the franchise. No disrespect to other fellow NOES fans who love this film. I'm just disappointed that I didn't end up liking the film the way most of the fanbase has.

It's a strong sequel which feels at times like an adventure film as much as a horror. It's also my favourite horror movie of 1987. Controversially, however, I don't like it as much as Freddy's Revenge - which I personally find to be a much creepier film. The kills were extremely creative though and Robert Englund is a joy to watch.
