Up until the iceberg hit, I give it a 5/10--After that, I give it a 9/10 We think alike. (See my 2nd post.)

No, the film just sucks and is still overrated. Well, you like MCU movies, so our tastes differ slightly. Titanic > All MCU films.

I recently rewatched it, still think is a very good movie, but I find the villain very OTT, very cartoonish. I also think people got sick of the song.
I guess my Cameron faves are Aliens and T2.
I rated this movie 8/10 when I first watched, now I give it a 7,50/10. Still a very solid film.

For some reason people like to polarize their opinions on this film. I've always pretty much felt the same way about it. I could do without the romance, not my cup of tea usually, but once it turns into a disaster movie I find it fun to watch.

I always liked the movie. I don't know that it was ever underrated or overrated; for the most part it was (and remains) appreciated as a fantastic film. Every film has its detractors, but the film is old enough now that the loudest internet voices (those in need of attention) are screaming about more relevant cinema topics such as CBMs.
