Welcome back!! I can’t wait for the NFL, I know we both love the Falcons, do you think the Falcons make the playoffs this year. I think we have a good chance to. Thanks Xeliou my friend. I'm trying to be optimistic about the Falcons. I even, of course, am still a fan even though I swore I was done if they paid that bum Beasely 13 million last season which they did. I liked our draft and have seen some nice clips of AJ Terrel balling out at practice. Division got tougher tho on paper at least. Brady a Buc? Cammy gone. Teddy Bridgewater added too. Is it possible Drew still has it? I just hope we don't wait until we've been mathmatically eliminated to start winning this year. That really aggravates me. The big question is will our Dawgs and Gators get to play each other and will it decide the SEC East?

Hello Nutsberry. Have you been enjoying this shortened baseball season? Braves have been hitting a ton but getting hit hard at times as well. They are in first place tho by 1.5 games. Maybe they can add another asterisk marked Championship. I would happily welcome it with no shame.

Glad you're enjoying the season too. Do you live in Balmer or just Maryland area in general. I'm sure I knew at one time but can't remeber for sure now. I think MD in general. Have you noticed the fans are really poor at fielding foul balls and home runs this year? The fact the other big time sports are still going albeit with shortened seasons is giving me optimism for football. Hockey and basketball involves a lot of close contact, right? They're okay so football will be, right?

Hockey and basketball involves a lot of close contact, right? They're okay so football will be, right? Uhh, I guess you haven't noticed that hockey and basketball have been operating in bubbles. Why would you say, "They're OK, so football will be, right?" I also see you haven't noticed that the two non-bubble sports - baseball and football - are exploring ways to use bubbles for their post-seasons. They more or less have said, "To hell with regular season (how many games have Cards, Marlins, Phils not played?), but let's finally do the right thing when it comes to big games like playoffs and do it in a bubble."

I think that teams with continuity will generally be better off than those who need to adjust to new schemes, new QBs etc. So it bodes well that Ryan and Julio et al return with the same coaching staff. Atlanta’s playoff hopes really depend on Quinn managing to avoid the slow starts that have plagued them the last few years. In a division with the Saints and Bucs, only performing in the second half of the season simply won’t cut it. Very curious to see how Gurley looks. |

As a Georgia alumnus as well as Falcons fan I was ecstatic when Atlanta went against type and signed a Bulldog that wasn't a former UFA or low round pick. Of course literally the next day or so after Gurley signed California enacted a can't nobody leave decree. Luckily Gurley is in Atlanta now. Even if he's 70% the player he was with the Rams that will be better than any RB the Falcons have had recently.

A third straight season of waiting to win until it's basically too late to matter could finally be the last straw for me. I know I've said that before Falcons front office but I'm serious this time darn it.

I'm probably in the minority, no pun intended, but DC Fan never bothered me. In fact he usually amused me. The way he could make the hardcore comic book crowd on this site totally lose their minds with what seemed a few harmless comments or questions was oddly impressive. I remember before my vacation several of the posters who hated him were doing some type of "Operation Kill DC" that involved not responding to his posts or repeatedly responding to his posts or something else really childish that I'm sure fed his ego. Very odd. I admit I never could decide if he was a bit off for real or just never broke character.
