So basically, California is on fire, and it's hitting my beloved Santa Cruz mountains especially hard. I had to vacate my place last night and head to Santa Cruz for shelter.
I slept last night in the back of a friend's restaurant. I've got a hotel room set up for the next 4 nights, which is costing me basically an entire paycheck. And if things aren't resolved after the weekend, who knows what's in store?
Any of you knuckleheads got a place for me to stay until this blows over. The entire sky is a sick, light orange color and the sun glows pink.
Burn, baby, burn......

Be safe. My doors always open buddy - you'll just have to put up with the Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and Sixers

No more of that please. It did so much destruction in Australia this year that I thought we have had enough. Stay safe, man.

Shit man, that’s rough. Good luck, let us know how it goes over there. I’m in the same boat as frogs, but if you can find your way over to Long Island, you got a place to crash.

No more of that please. It did so much destruction in Australia this year that I thought we have had enough. Stay safe, man. It's a tough deal, a few nights ago I was outside at 2 in the morning enjoying a very rare lightning storm here. Unfortunately, some of those lightning strikes are what triggered all of this Hell on us. The entire Santa Cruz mountains have now gotten mandatory evacuation orders, something I have never seen in almost 30 years of living here.

I can't begin to describe how awful and scary the sky looks right now as I'm working in Santa Cruz. The sky is totally covered in orange, it SERIOUSLY looks apocalyptic.
It's becoming pretty obvious that Santa Cruz itself may be about to be engulfed in flames. This is legit, serious stuff, kids.

Its always terrifying when your hometown is hit with something that is totally out of anyone’s control. I remember going back to my then home after Hurricane Sandy and the whole town was basically destroyed. Take care of yourself, brother, we’re all pulling for you.

My actual hometown is in Rhode Island, and it was devastated by Hurricane Sandy. I remember my friend sending me footage he took of the beach after it hit, and it was shocking to see places that I hung out at as a kid totally destroyed. You want to know how serious this is? My boss is currently taking pictures of the store for insurance purposes in case it burns down soon. Pretty sobering stuff.

Good luck. As far as a place here...
"So I go down the streets Down to my good friend's house I said look man I'm outdoors you know Can I stay with you maybe a couple days? He said let me go and ask my wife He come out of the house I could see it in his face I know that was no He said I don't know man ah she kinda funny, you know I said I know, everybody funny, now you funny too" George Thorogood
People laugh at western NY's weather and other shit. But we don't have to put up with hurricanes, earthquakes, wild fires, tornadoes, etc. A little snow never hurt anyone.

Hope your place and any pets are okay. We're getting married on Saturday - outside - in our backyard - in the heat and ash. Oh god.
