I just watched the Batman trailer and again, like the Joker, it surprised people and push buttons in a good way. the genre will redefine itself. It made me feel as if I was watching Logan's trailer again. there is something special about The Batman trailer.
Do you think any MCU movie can have a trailer that will surprise and push buttons or do you think MCU is forever stuck in the generic action packed, color humor driven lane? where we all know, this is the standard type of MCU movie.
Reply's should only be from The Batman trailer POV. No coward personal insults please.

I see nothing new or surprising in the The Batman trailer. It looks promising. That's all.
Can MCU still surprise? I'm sure it can. It depends a lot on if you approach the film with an open mind. Or if you approach the comparisons with hyperbole.
And anyway, a "surprise" is not my primary objective when seeing a CBM. Being entertained is. Something I've found MCU be way more consistent at than DC in recent years

Nothing about The Batman trailer is surprising, other than it looked better than most expected. Still, it showed nothing that we haven't seen before. The WW84 and Justice League trailers contained more surprises than The Batman trailer.
And yes, all it would take for the MCU to trump the "surprise factor" of the DCEU trailers is to drop an Eternals trailer.

The Batman trailer was boring and didn't entice me at all. New dude is generic. Now the new WW 1984 trailer is incredible, swinging like Tarzan from lightning bolts, eat your heart out Spiderman.

You know they sitting there like: MCU board: "So how many days should we give DC/WB before we make their trailers yesterday's news?" Sad truth is that they did that all the time. I remember DC had some news about something big that had a lot of hype (Batgirl maybe?) and maybe a few days to a week later they dropped something. And it's Disney because they used Star Wars the same way.

I might be misremembering but you're right, they've definitely done this before.

Reply's should only be from The Batman trailer POV. No coward personal insults please. The trailer only did one thing surprising, that was show yes Pattinson can be believable as a violent Batman, his acting wasn't to be doubted but if he could pull off the savagery of The Batman was, and he did and looked awesome, whilst also still looking kind of weird, which is a new take but not a surprising one for Batman, otherwise it did everything we would have expected from a Batman trailer, and it was great, especially considering they haven't shot the majority of the movie yet which is remarkable, but then again Marvel did the same back in 2013 with GOTG trailer they dropped at Comic Con iirc after only being in production for like 3 weeks. And yes Marvel can surprise people, all it takes is doing what is not expected, which isn't necessarily a good thing, you know how The Batman would have surprised people with it's trailer? release it in bright colours with a cheery rendition of "I'm a little tea pot" playing over it whilst Pattinson wore a fury Bat costume not an actual Batman outfit, now that shit would have SURPRISED people, this really didn't surprise people but it did get their juices flowing for the movie to come.

Begins and TDK dont even have any big cgi action scenes comparable to MCU.

Are superhero movies in general still capable of surprising people? That is the thing sadly, its like comic films have gone bad south. they cant surprise any more. which is why it was so nice to look back at xmen 1, 20 years after with good thoughts. that was surprising now its all generic stuff that are the same.
black widow looks like the twin of captain marvel except scarlet johanson is just more likeable compared to brie larson.

If MCU fans are hating on the new batman trailer than we are looking at a masterpiece like the Joker.

Sounds like you have a lot of new and exciting CBMs to look forward to, The New Mutants, The Batman, WW 1984, and everything else coming from DC. So remind us again, why are you hanging around here waiting for the MCU to "surprise" you?

Batman looks like typical Batman. They're even using the Riddler again. The only thing different is that they're kowtowing to SJW's this time around.
