I just can't get into this season. Maybe because it started in July and not April. Maybe because it's the same matchups, over and over (Minnesota and KC have played three weekends in a row). Maybe it's the Mickey Mouse accoutrements (7 inning games, ghost runners in extra innings). Maybe it's because the Sox suck my soggy left nut. Maybe it was all the bitching about the length of the season. Honestly, I couldn't give two shits. I watch some but not much.

A’s win over the Angels on a walk off sac fly in the 10th, exciting game!! The A’s are playing great baseball, leading the AL West, they don’t have any real superstars or great base hitters but they are a solid all around team with lots of decent hitters and good power.

How bout the suddenly hot San Fran Giants?
Led by MVP candidate Mike Yastrzemski (yeah, I said it), the Giants have now won 6 in a row to possibly vault themselves into wild-card position.
This team's not that bad, they are getting excellent starting pitching of late, and Yaz isn't the only young guy in the lineup who's making an impact.
It might not be right to call Yaz a young guy, he just turned 30 today.

Also I would think the cheese whiz on a traditional philly cheese steak would make many people outside philly gag a little anyway. I will admit I've never tried one with the whiz on it so it could be amazing but............
