You still don't get it, do you? What crime was Jacob Blake committing? What law was he breaking? What arrest was he resisting?

I think if anyone is that concerned about the police, perhaps they shouldn't put themselves in places where they have to deal with police.
It really is that simple.

i was roughed up by a transit cop in dc as a youth, i guess i was acting rowdy...
tho, what what worse is these goofballs in dc. they staged some felon arrest after a g'town hoops game. and made all the lights red (i saw the cop fooling with the traffic light box) so they could 'pull him over'. like hundreds of people would have been in the crossfire if the shooting started!
expecting cops to be always competent is a touch unrealistic.

Resisting arrest is a crime. Threatening police is justification for police to use deadly force. What arrest was he resisting? What threats did he make? The cops had him on the ground, trying to handcuff him. He fought he way up, and out of being handcuffed. That's resisting arrest. He reached in his car, possibly for a weapon. The law says nobody has to see a gun to reasonably think a violent criminal would be reaching for a weapon. (Reports say he told the police he had a knife in his car.) That's a violent threat.

I see. So that's why he was shot seven times in the back in front of his kids.

Is it your stance that police in the US are no threat to law-abiding black people?

Based on the history of disproportionate policing of blacks vs whites in the US, I certainly can't guarantee it. He would probably have been shot if he'd so much as reached to scratch an itch.

Knowing that, was resisting arrest a smart thing for that black guy to do? So you're admitting that there is a problem? The problem is, most criminals are stupid. And Black Lives Matter takes advantage of stupid people with disinformation. Inspiring them to blame police for criminals committing crime, getting caught, and facing the consequences. Don't break the law, and the police won't bother you. If you do break the law, whatever happens, that was the chance you took.

Don't break the law, and the police won't bother you. Tell that to Botham Jean. Botham Jean was an exception. His killer is in prison. There are always exceptions. Most of the black people killed by police were criminals committing crime and resisting arrest when they were killed. Exceptions prove nothing more than there are always exceptions.
