Every Which Way but Loose (1978) > B.J. and the Bear (1979) I think Smokey and the Bandit is a bigger inspiration for B.J. and the Bear but definitely both had influence.

No Time For Sergeants --> Gomer Pyle. Bumpkin in the service theme, and an Andy Griffith connection, although GP is obviously a spinoff of the Andy Griffith Show.
PT 109 --> McHale's Navy. There was an episode with JFK's boat and Ensign Parker mimicking his Boston Brahmin accent.
