As usual my goal is to watch at least a 100 horror movies in october. I love october. Same! Although I won't make it 100, 50 is a more achievable goal. I always take two weeks off from work at the end of October so I can just soak in fall while it's still here. Binging horror classics is a big part of that.

I've only got like 8 FTVs lined up so I need to get cracking on that side of the list. However, I'm not expecting to complete the 31 this year due to family stuff and whatnot. I'm still gonna try though oh yes indeed.
Any word on hosting duties this year?

Better half said if we're doing Halloween I & II, we have to Hellraiser I & II straight watch. Adding Phantasm to my list.

I "missed" the one in 2018 but had one in 2019 and where I kept up with watching 31 horror films during october. But that was on another site/forum, so this time I will hopefully be up for at least 31 films next month.

I'm just watching what sounds good at the moment, I'll document them here and update it as I go. For the most part I'm watching stuff with my girlfriend and we have an "I pick one, you pick one" system.

I’ve only got a short list of new ones so far but I’ve been putting them off until it’s time...
The Babysitter 2 Killer Queen Assimilate #Alive The Invisible Man Sorority House Massacre
...no real theme just the ones I’ve been wanting to see recently.

I liked the first one enough. I've heard bad things but from people who didn't care for the first one anyhow so im not sure what to expect.

I found the first movie passable, largely because of Samara Weaving. McG's annoying style and the lame humor was all a little bit charming in the service of a relatively fun, but unremarkable movie. This time around Samara Weaving is hardly involved and the style is more obnoxious, largely because the script is much worse. The dialogue is really lame this time around, which apparently stems from the writer of the first movie not being involved. You may have a higher tolerance for the obnoxious dialogue and shooting shooting style than me, but I think the consensus is that this is a significantly weaker movie.

I don't do well with spontaneity, so yeah, I always have a list prepared.

Going with the usual suspects I have on dvd or can stream on Prime.
Saving some newer titles closer to Halloween. "Haunt", "The Barge people" "Mom and Dad", and "Insidious: the last key"...
Plus I got the Universal Monsters set. Looking forward to diving into that.

I lost my job in March and am home all day, I'm winning this mofo this year! I have started a small list of things I haven't seen in awhile and want to rewatch, and also new movies I don't want to forget to see. I've made it to the mid-70's the last few years, and that's when I was working. Surely I can top that this year. letterboxd.com/lebowskidoo/list/horror-movies-i-want-to-watch-or-rewatch/

Meh, I don’t know if I’m doing it this year. Thanks for the courage. I've already made my spot on the challenge thread just in case I do decide to participate. I'll definitely be watching horror for this month, just to get in the spirit.

Working in the travel industry sure isn't what it used to be. There is a chance my job could possibly return once the world opens up again, if not, life goes on. Enjoy your horrible October!
