Can I just ask though, aside from the obnoxiousness of his fans, exactly what has he done to deserve hatred? He comes across as a pretty chill and normal guy. Some people seem to think he’s a pretentious snob, I guess. Also, I suppose that his track record with female characters has rubbed some people the wrong way.

On Batman Begins he was petitioned not to film outside a vivisection lab (which would mean giving them money to film there) and he did it anyway. That was an asshole move if he had a choice in the matter.
His dialogue is terribly unrealistic--having characters preach lectures to each other.
And his action scenes are underwhelming.
But he gets massive hype from the corporate media so it is sure to rub people the wrong way.
Like superhero movies being shoved down people's throats.
I am like: fuck off Batman, leave me alone.
