I didn't delete my account but I did delete all my reviews and made my ratings private. I will however be avoiding IMDb like that plague, they won't be getting any clicks or page views from me.

I have not deleted my account yet, but its coming. I took off my rating and bringing my list somewhere else. Then i will delete it.

I have not deleted my account as I still want to rate films plus be able to keep track of movies I have watched... Also ye never know, they might come back. Ditto. If anything, I'd like to keep it just in case the boards happen to return. Plus, I don't want to lose my ratings for certain T.V. shows/movies. I still haven't logged in since yesterday, and probably will not for quite a while. |

I haven't yet decided what course to take. On the one hand, I feel horribly betrayed by IMDb--especially when they pulled that stunt of shutting down the boards at Midnight, Greenwich Mean Time, without bothering to warn the many, many members in other time zones about that action!--but on the other hand, I feel protective of some of the fairly obscure movies I've rated highly there, which could suffer from my withdrawal. I mean (just for example), how many other people will have even heard of Third Man on the Mountain, let alone rated it a 9? I know, I know...the movies I love will never know how I love them (it's totally unrequited  ), but still...I guess I'm still in denial about what happened over at IMDb, but I probably will delete my account, after the anger  overwhelms the hurt  . |

I've just joined from IMDB. I've been watching this forum grow for a week or so and I'm hoping some individual movie threads will get started i'll be able to easily find because that is the only thing i used on the IMDB boards.
I'll be keeping my IMDB account to rate films and keep track of what i've bought and watched.

As soon as I decide on just a couple of sites and able to swap my lists then yes. Give IMDb a months before I'm gone and into the other boards and of coures wiki.

i'm considering it. the big thing keeping me from it is their film recommendations. their algorithm seems to be different from other places.

Haven't deleted mine. Had it for 14 years would be hard to part with. I did however wipe it from any existence from my computer. Deleted all of its history. Time will tell if I ever go back.

I still have mine as i have made many lists including my ongoing movies collection lists. I'll be staying there i guess. I very rarely posted on IMDB latterly.

Nah, I haven't deleted mine as well. I mean I like to think that they will change their mind in the future but it's pretty obvious they won't. In any case I will occasionally use it for the lists.
