I haven't deleted it yet, but I think it's coming. I can't think of any reason to have an account there anymore. I haven't been there much at all since they announced the IMDb apocalypse and what little time I spend there I give movies been ratings.

I'll keep my IMDB account. They said that they are bringing out new features in 2017. Whether this is a new format of the message boards, or something else entirely, we'll see. I occasionally review films. I've done 3, so far. Why bother coming here then? Go to imdb since you like and stay there?

self have permanently deleted their IMDb account/s? Kept mine for readup, rating and review purposes. Don't want to bit off my nose to spite my face. How is rating and reviews and benefit to you? You know anything you write on there is the property of imdb and you cant say the same thing else where. You can read without and account and readup on many other sites (wiki is even fairy accurate and contains more info usually).

Longtime IMDB member, almost sixteen years. I'm not deleting my account and I may still occasionally review films and TV shows. Why do them that favor? Also giving them exclusive ownership of that review you wrote!

Unfortunately, we have local stations running MeTV, COMET, ThisTV, etc. etc. and sometimes I need to find out who some of the obscure actors are. Is there another place that you can see a full list of the actors, because I'll surely switch. Yes, it's called themoviedb.org. It's a site that just as similar, if not better, than imdb.

Deleted all 3 of mine, I forgot I even had one of them!
Without the message boards I don't need to log in as I never wrote many reviews and I prefer other sources for film info anyway.

no, I'm not going to delete my account, but what I will do is downvote every movie I'm inclined to dislike
If I can't discuss it, it doesn't exist

I didn't bother to delete my account, but at the same time I have no need to ever go back

I had stopped using them when the boards closed, but I just deleted it now. No need for it any longer.

I deleted my account after I had transferred my ratings to Letterboxd. So how do you like that site? Is it worth using?

I must admit I haven't deleted my account. I was going to, but instead I decided never to use IMDb again.
Now whenever I type the IMDb url into my address bar it redirects me to here.

Been an IMDb member since May '01 according to my profile page. To me it was not just the boards. I still use it as a reference for TV shows and movies. NO plans of deleting my account. I still check it most days for entertainment news, the day's celebs having a birthday. When I see a movie I like to check the actor's profiles to see where I have seen them before if I don't recall, or to find their names. Ditto when I watch a current episode of a fave show to see who the guest stars are.

I have almost 1000 ratings on IMDb and over 100 movie reviews there (I've been an IMDb member since 1999). There's no easy way to transfer all of that to another website.
But I rarely use IMDb now while I come to this site, v2.0, every day.
Imo at least, BB ;-)

I deleted my IMDb account today. I don't see the point having anymore if I can have discussions.
