There seems to always be a moment in History where the “modern” mankind collapses and there is another dark age.
The Mesopotamians Egypt Greece Rome English Empire
Etc...
We need another dark age or humanity will fall completely and we will destroy ourselves. Either with war, or raping the natural world of all its resources.
We had 2 billion people on Earth in 1900 (turn of the Century)... Think about this... from the beginning of human existence until 1899 AD we were at 2 Billion People. Now we are at 7.5 Billion in 2020. We are going to be at like 15 Billion by 2100.
We are going to destroy the Earth.

Did mankind actually collapse with the end of our empire? I’m British and was born during the time it was finally fading away but the rest of the world seemed to go on without us.

the dark age after the fall of the roman empire lasted 1000 years until the renaissance. how could that have lasted so long? it sounds horrible. was it really that dark? Not really. The term is no longer utilized by the majority of historians and even when it was being utilized, it usually meant the early middle ages which only lasted about 500 years. The term is is actually more about the lack of records of the period compared to the abundance of records that exist from the late antiquity and the Renaissance. Since we have more information about the Middle Ages now, than historians had in the 19th century, the term "dark ages" is a mischaracterization of the period.

Wade Davis agrees. Seriously, until reading his essay I didn't even consider how the Black Plague hastened the end of feudalism because there was a shortage of labor.

Doubt well reach 15 mill. Birth rate in western countries is decreasing. More people are becoming infertile due to external factors and women are having children at a later age, if at all.

Why do you think the Western government is pushing Transgender, LGBT, abortion, etc... they are a democracy, they cannot tell people to limit their house to 1 kid. So they try to control the population in other ways.
