Not sure what to do about tomorrow's game. In days of yore, I could reverse jinx the team simply by bitching about them. This year I've tried everything. Low expectations, no expectations, criticism, positivity. Last week I picked them to win straight up, and that blew up in my face. I probably shouldn't pick them tomorrow, but to heck with it. I base this on nothing whatsoever, but I say they find a way to beat the Cardinals. Call it a reverse-reverse jinx? I just want a high draft pick.

All the Broncos QBs ruled ineligible. RB Royce Freeman has to play quarterback. Everyone remove Freeman from your fantasy teams - WR Kendall Hinton will instead be playing QB.

Saints fined 500 thousand dollars and a 7th round draft pick for celebrating Bucs win in locker room after second Bucs defeat. Besides the $500,000 fine that the Saints were punished with, the NFL also took their seventh-round pick in the upcoming draft. Of course, seeing that New Orleans isnβt fond of the outcome of the investigation, they will appeal the punishment that was levied on them.
The Saints were one of many teams to share videos of that sort of celebration on social media, but Schefter reports that the NFL is considering New Orleans a repeat offender against its COVID-19 protocols after Saints coach Sean Payton was fined for not covering his face in games early this season. An example Schefter points to in his report is the Las Vegas Raidersβ repeat offenses, which sparked an outbreak of infections that forced game rescheduling.
To be clear: this isnβt Schefterβs opinion, heβs echoing what his league sources are telling him and carrying their water to maintain that relationship for future reporting. But that doesnβt change the fact that itβs a false equivalence and another instance of the NFL making an example out of the Saints organization to get everyone else in line. Itβs bogus for the NFL to punish the Saints for something other teams were doing, and the Saints are rightfully appealing the penalties.
These penalties from the league will be forgotten fairly quickly, but itβs more about the principle of the Saints being punished while other teams skate by. The Saints are being hit harder for bad optics than the Tennessee Titans were for an uncontrolled outbreak that threatened the entire season. Add it to the list of grievances Saints fans have suffered over the years, from the Bountygate sham to the 2018 NFC championship game no-call.clutchpoints.com/saints-news-new-orleans-loses-draft-pick-for-maskless-celebration-after-win-vs-bucs/saintswire.usatoday.com/2020/11/29/nfl-covid-19-saints-punishment-maskless-celebration/

Good win by the Pats today. Ok it was an ugly win, but I'll take it. Cam looks bad, I don't know what's wrong with him. He's not going to get himself a big payday if he keeps playing this way. Bad calls negated scores by both teams so it's only fitting that it went down to the wire.
The good news: The Pats are 5-6. How is that good news? They were 2-5 at one point, so I'd say they're trending up. The better news: They're playing the Chargers next week, and from what I saw at the end of their game today, any Belichick coached team has this one in the bag. I may consider BB overrated, but I'm pretty sure the guy doesn't call a running play at the goal line, down two scores with under 20 seconds left and no timeouts. I almost fell off my couch laughing at that. Lynn should be fired for that call alone. I think he has CTE.
But back to the Pats, it's highly unlikely they make the playoffs but they've already exceeded my expectations for the year and they aren't mathematically eliminated yet.

Didn't watch the game but it looks like they held Murray in check pretty well. Nice job from Smelly Belly.

I'm not sure how much credit to give to billychuck anymore. According to that article he spends 15 minutes all week with the defense, the rest he spends with the QB. Judging by Newton's performance...

No practicing - too unsafe. But as for the actual game - full steam ahead. No problem here.

Will Fuller suspended 6 games for PEDs. Maybe that's what got him so far into the season without an injury for the first time. Whoever signs him this offseason will lose him for game one next year.

Will Fuller suspended 6 games for PEDs. So glad GB didn't give the Texans a 2nd round pick like they wanted. That would have been a disaster.

Ravens/Steelers pushed to 3:40 ET Wednesday. Goes from being a primetime game on Thanksgiving to up against a midweek Judge Judy. For me it is a 12:40 pm game. What a clusterfuck.
