Von Miller thought to be done for the season - lower leg injury. Terrible news for the Broncos as he is probably their biggest star and a huge part of their defense. Iβm expecting the Broncos to be improved and to maybe contend for the playoffs but thatβs a bad blow for them.

Ryan Shazier officially retires from football.
It's a wonder he's able to walk.

Aqib Talib also retiring. After ripping off Michael Crabtree's gold chain, he had nothing left in football to achieve.

Perhaps he should have tried using his helmet to secure the interception. That seemed to work a couple plays later for the Giants.

But his mistake is understandable, shitty Patriots DBs coming up small in big moments has been a staple under Belichick ever since Ty Law left town.

Instead of DO YOUR JOB it should've been DON'T YOU DROP. Edit: unless he's addressing Cam Newton and there's a loose football on the field.

It's actually gotten worse over time. He'd have to devise a scheme that had the player in position to make a play in the first place, that seems to be the trouble the last ten years or so.

It was WES WELKER that dropped a Super Bowl winning catch in the final minutes, and then the year later cheap shotted Aqib Talib and knocked him out of the championship game, changing the entire course of that game. Fuck Wes Welker.

Getting my preseason Super Bowl pick in.
CHIEFS over SAINTS
Pretty safe, pretty cowardly, but also pretty likely. This is the Saints' last chance. Their salary cap situation is absurd, and their roster will look very very different next year.

I have shortened the number of football emojis in the thread title from 6 to 3. I didn't like when they would straddle lines.

Mahomes a bit rusty. Underthrew the almost-TD. I started a thread to discuss tonightβs game, just to let you know.

Best early game
Green Bay @ Minnesota - will watch this on the NFL ticket free preview
I'm guessing Romo will do Dolphins @ Patriots
Best late game
Bucs @ Saints - Fox
