The Belichick coaching tree so far this year: 0-8.
The Belichick coaching tree historically: 138-204. A .404 winning percentage. Of the ten head coaches who are off of Belichick's tree, only two have a winning record: Bill O'Brien and Al Groh.
Belichick is the Secretariat of NFL head coaches!

TheGoodMan19 what does Josh Allen have in common with Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas? Admittedly, the last two weeks had been against poor opposition. And the schedule is brutal until the bye in November. But I think Allen is the QB the Bills thought he would be in 2018. Biggest reason, no stupid decisions. He forced waaaaay too many passes last year. And the Bills played an anemic schedule. You can make awful decisions against a girls teen team. Could he regress, sure. Aaron Donald and Jalen Ramsey could make his Sunday miserable. But I think he turned the corner.
Of course, he's made it. He has his own cereal. I loved Flutie Flakes

It turns out the reason Tyrod Taylor couldn't play on Sunday was that the team doctor accidentally punctured his lung while trying to administer a pain-killing injection.
Who's the Chargers' doctor? Nick Riviera?
"Oops! That didn't sound good!"

This is how Belichick looked during today's press conference. A couple of weeks ago we had a teams meeting with the production dept. They had a new person joining. I was wearing an old favorite t-shirt with a ratty coller and a moth hole that I hadn't seen in years and had just found. Of course, they decide we should all introduce ourselves on camera. I had to use my arm to cover the hole.

Bears receivers rubbing their hands. Terrell sucks anyway, as does the whole Falcons secondary. Theyβve gotten carved up in their first 2 games, fortunately for the Falcons the Bears donβt have a great passing attack, but a little league team could light up the Falcons secondary. So much for Quinn being a good defensive coach, he needs to go.

Patriots tucked that Raiders game away nicely. Looks like .500 again next week L to the Chiefs.
Bills 3-0, I hope they go 11-0 & crash under pressure.
Bears, for a second I thought they had a Trubisky miracle... until I noticed the Foles lines. Good thing the Eagles made the right QB call. And still, Dan Quinn has his job.
Texans... 0-3 yowza. Can't believe the Cardinals lost to the Lions... not the way to keep pace.

Ok, they almost blew it, but they could've caved and gone all 'Bills gonna Bill,' but they toughed it out. That's a character building win for an up and coming team. Yeah it could get ugly for the Pats next week, it's going to be an up and down season looking at the schedule. Though if they keep trending up while others keep trending down, the Pats could be playoff contenders by the end of the season. Suddenly the 49ers and Texans games I had penciled as Ls before the season have become winnable games in my mind. The Broncos are a mess, two games against the Jets, the jury's still out on the Cardinals. It's going to be a hell of a ride this year.

Eagles schedule the rest of the way:
At 49ers At Steelers Vs Ravens Vs Giants Vs Cowboys At Giants At Browns Vs Seahawks At Packers Vs Saints At Cardinals At Cowboys Vs The artist formerly known as the Redskins
If they run that schedule with 4 or more wins itβll be a miracle and completely unexpected based on their performance thus far.

All part of the plan to allow Hurtsy to spend time soaking it all in and learning from afar until the Eagles trade Wentzy for assets and reload with 2021 picks. TRUST THE PROCESS Although I'm not sure Wentz would warrant a fifth rounder based on his play so far.

They just make the same mistakes over and over and over. You think that they're professionals, that they (like all professional teams) spend the week working tirelessly to correct errors and adjust and prepare accordingly like we're always told, and then you watch games like this and you start to wonder if the whole narrative of game week prep might just be a load of horseshit.
And no, that's CBS reporter Jonathan Jones, not Julio.
