Can't get into it, especially MLS. It's like watching an opera and they're singing in English.

legarrette blount officially retires from the NFL Time for Mario Williams to follow suit. I had no idea Blount was hanging around - after the Eagles I think he had a stint with the Lions
Was googling Eagles news and his named popped up - I thought he retired years ago

Jadeveon Clowney (Titans) out for the year. You'd be forgiven for thinking he hadn't stepped on the field this season.

Just want to update the score board here. The Cincinnati Bengals and the Los Angeles Chargers have been eliminated from the playoff hunt. Playoff Race

Patriots 45-0 & still barely playoff alive. Then again, Belichick sucks at drafting high so whatevsalad. I wish we could bottle the way they played today. Of course, Chargers gonna Charge. They put up a stat early in the game about how terrible the Chargers are on special teams, and boy did they live up to it. They gave up a punt return for TD, missed a FG, had another one blocked and returned for TD, committed a penalty on a 4th and 5 that gave the Pats a fresh set of downs. And that was just special teams. They also got penalized to the tune of an automatic first on what was a 3rd and 19. The couldn't get out of their own way.
Still, the Pats kept Herbert and the Chargers off the scoreboard, it wasn't all just the Chargers stepping on landmines. The pass rush for the Pats was fantastic today, and Herbert got picked a couple of times on heads up plays. The offense didn't set the world on fire but it didn't have to. They played grind it out ball for most of the game and did it well.
The Pats were DOA 7 games into the season, now they've fought their way back to .500. Playoffs are a big ask at this point, but I'd like to see continuous improvement. The next three games are against playoff teams, so we'll see what this team is made of.

Yep, & so will those 3 even more.

Looking ahead to see what might be the Sunday Night Game week 17, there aren't a lot of great options. The only two divisions that have the top two teams playing each other are the AFC East and the AFC North. Both Pittsburgh and Cleveland will make the playoffs, so that one probably won't be chosen unless the Steelers lose a couple or, maybe, if they are 15-0. Buffalo and Miami could be for who wins the East versus who is a wild card. Maybe two NFC West teams could be between a team getting into the playoffs or not, or Detroit and Minnesota win enough to make that game mean something, but those could be rendered inconsequential by week 16.

jets fire defensive coordinator - gregg williams He wouldnβt have survived the end of season purge anyway. Theyβre keeping Gase on to ensure they get Lawrence. Approximately 14 seconds after the end of the final game heβll be gone too.

I thought it was a 'Ballsy' playcall - it's just too bad the players didn't come through for him On ESPN last night, they showed him calling that defense in that situation in other stops during his coaching career - - and it always worked.
