I'm a big fan of the movie Creepshow. I've seen it many many times. I've seen it in the theater several times and even have the comic. It's one of those movies I'll stop on and watch whenever I stumble onto it on cable even though I have the movie in several formats anyway. Yet somehow I never realized our young hero Billy was played by Joe Hill aka Joseph Hillström King aka Stephen King's oldest son. I would still be oblivious to this interesting nugget of film trivia and nepotism but Joe Hill mentioned it in the forward to his latest book which I'm currently reading. He also mentioned he and his dad were both shitty actors. Maybe Joe's painful acting is why I never realized who he was. I do wish Stephen King wasn't in the movie so perhaps I subconsciously block out Joe's name in the credits or something. I really do find it odd that I never saw his name or read who Billy was in articles or videos or interviews about the movie. In fact the whole thing kind of makes me feel creepy.

I remember reading at the time it was his son. Maybe in Famous Monsters. I am more surprised Stephen King would play such a goofy character. He was good at it actually. And in Knight Riders he appears with his family and he also acts freaking weird in that too.

I always laugh when i realize his name is Joe King. "Obvious alias of the Joker, Commissioner! Robin and I will handle him!" "No, wait!"

I'm not sure if The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill would have been better with a different actor but it wouldn't have been worse.

Once you know this information, you wonder how you never knew it before. I mean, look at him, a total Stephen King mini-me!
