Henry Cavill is not a bad choice, actually its a pretty good choice in my opinion, he is the perfect age for James Bond i would say. But as he is doing The Witcher i doubt he will be the next James Bond after Daniel Craig

He's my top pick to replace Craig as well. I thought he did a great job in The Man from UNCLE (2015). I'd like to have seen him return as Superman but that seems highly unlikely at this point.

He came in first place ahead of Richard Armitage and Idris Elba in third place.
This was then expanded to include international stars and resulted in The Boys and Dredd actor Karl Urban topping the list with a whopping 96.7%, putting him ahead of even Henry Cavill. In the name of curiosity and exploring all possibilities, the Bond-seeker 3000 then considered female actors, with The Mandalorian star Gina Carano topping the list with a huge 97.3%

Cavill would be my ideal choice too, but the Bond producers will probably go with a lesser known actor.
Idris Elba is too old, but he would make a good Bond villain.

I like Cavill, and he certainly looks the classic Bond type, but I always feel there’s just something…missing in his acting. “A little bland” may be the best way to put it; I’m not sure.
Bond requires a Conneryesque force-of-personality that I just haven’t seen in Cavill’s Superman or Mission: Impossible villain. His best role, oddly enough, was as a consciously un-Bond-like fusspot in The Man from U.N.C.L.E., and even there I kind of think Armie Hammer outacted him.

We expect a lot from our Bonds. It is a rare talent that can do all parts of the job.
Roger Moore: strong comedy, weak on action. Dalton and Craig: the reverse.
Connery and Brosnan balanced it nicely.
Lazenby made a good effort and I like his movie, but he was missing that indefinable 007 something.
