There was a time when I used to buy and read several movie magazines a month. But in recent years I stopped reading magazines entirely. In fact I’m just in the process of throwing out my collection of movie magazines I had built up over the years.

Does anyone still read magazines period? The only place I still see them is at hair salons.

Does anyone still read magazines period? The only place I still see them is at hair salons. Or, prior to COVID, in doctor's offices. I didn't know that movie mags were still around!

A long time ago. I think I stopped getting any of them by 2005. I remember Premiere. Entertainment Weekly...
I was getting Starlog and Fangoria in the 90s but ran out of money.
I see Fangoria was gone and then made a come back. I don't know how these magazines can keep going with such uninspired dreck.
Even online movie sites are just remakes and sequels. Famous Monsters had upcoming movies listed and they sure sounded more exciting.

Earlier this year, I picked up a copy of Film Comment and two other magazines I hadn't seen before that specialize in older films.
Overall, my attention has shifted to listening to movie podcasts.

I used to be an avid collector of Entertainment Weekly. I also collected Premiere for awhile. Eventually it got to the point where it was just taking up too much space, and I stopped buying them.

I was a Premiere magazine junkie. That was one that could be found among the rest of the junk in grocery stores, supermarkets, drug stores, or department store newsstand sections. The other movie magazines I would get my hands on, they were usually only available in bookstores, or at Media Play- the all-in-one music/movies/books/games store. If Premiere magazine were still in print, I would definitely be a subscriber. I forgot when it was when it went online only, but whenever it was, it was a time to mourn. And settle for Entertainment Weekly. Until 2012-ish. I forgot when I stopped subscribing to that, but I still get emails a few times a week.

I last read a few reviews from Film Comment, but that was many months ago.

I've subscribed to Fangoria since I was in 7th grade, but to be honest I've only read one of the new issues that started in 2018, the rest have just gone into my collection.
