It used to be that transsexuals (as they were originally known) were people who felt they were born into the wrong sex and sought to either get a sex change or to simply live as the opposite sex. Thinking back to the transsexuals who were in the public eye decades ago, not one of them ever said that their sex was anything other than male or female. I think you guys are confusing transsexualism with "non-binary" or something along those lines. The whole "105 different genders" crap is a 21st century concoction. Somewhere along the line, the "transsexual" term became "transgender" and the SJWs of society adopted that term and turned it into an umbrella term to refer to various different kinds of gender expression.
I don't get the whole DNA argument because since when are people judged by their DNA in everyday life?? It seems more like people who dislike trans people just wanna use that as way to take a swipe at them.

Sure there are 5 or 6 different chromosomal patters depending on which witch doctor you believe. But they all manifest themselves physically in only two ways: 1) Male with testes or mostly testicular or 2) Female with ovaries or mostly ovarian. I'm agreeing with you - two types XX and XY with different variations for abnormalities, but the basic construct is female or male. Okay. But the average person can't test chromosomes.

I appreciate the argument that gender and biological sex are different. But the problem is that even the political and scientific establishment is confusing the issue by claiming there are more than two genders.

It doesn't matter. At the core, you're biologically either female or male. What you identify as is an entirely different matter, and still open to discussion. Growing up, I liked following my dad around, learned basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry. I loved watching him fix cars, change the oil, change the plugs (gapping them), changing belts, checking timing, etc., etc. I like doing more "boy" things than "girl" things. I had a lot of friends who were boys. We played army. But I always "identified" as female. So, I don't get it.

Gender is a spectrum.

No it isn't. It's a dichotomy.

No it isn't. It's a dichotomy. Science says you are full of shit. We just went over this. Science says there are two types of gonads, testes and ovaries. Science says only one in 83,000 people has an abnormal "ovotestis". But the ovotestis is either more male or more female.
Please tell me, is there a gonad which is not a testis or an ovary or a combination of the two?
Sorry, there are only two genders.

We went over this already, and you are so fucking ignorant it went over your head. I cited a scientific paper whose headline directly contradicted the idea that there are two genders. Genders are a social construct influenced by biology, sex is biological, neither is binary, and your dumb obsession with genitalia leaves out how the brain is wired. Science does not and never will give a shit about your knuckle-dragging ignorance, your bigotry, or your feelings.

And if there are quack theories with a political agenda, I just explained the scientific evidence to you. It confirms what every society on earth has said for thousands of years - there are two genders.
How the brain is wired? Yeah, social constructs.
There are either testes or ovaries, no third gonad. And that corresponds to the common sense dichotomy.
What are these multitude of genders you want to believe exist? Can you list them for us?

I've sent it to you at least twice already, and all you did was ignore it. Garbage human beings don't read scientific papers, apparently. Actually, it is factually not the case that every society on earth has said this for thousands of years. You don't know shit about anything, do you? YOUR position is actually the quack theory with a political agenda, and all you explained was your bottomless ignorance of the actual science, which is not limited to the genitals like your ignorant, simplistic model.

What are these multitude of genders you want to believe exist? Can you list them for us? You are correct in that there are two biological genders: female and male. There are also a multitude of, for lack of better phrasing, psychological genders; that is, a gender with which one identifies regardless of their biological gender. Gender is not always conceived as binary, or strictly linked to biological sex.

Prove me wrong. I think if you’re born a man, or a woman. That’s who you are. Yes, you can't change your DNA, but if you feel you're in the wrong body, then you try and change that to look how you feel inside What makes one feel like a man or a woman if not snakes, snails, puppy dog tails, sugar, spice, and everything nice? If a girl wants to play with Tonka trucks, should she identify as a boy? Because the last I heard, none of those things should be gender-specific, and yet we encourage boys to identify as girls when they like to wear dresses and play with dolls?

Jazz Jennings knew from a young age that she wasn't a boy. I don't know if it's better to transition when your young or wait until you're old like Caitlyn Jenner I have empathy for them.

What makes one feel like a man or a woman?

His mother was told by a certain doctor to start raising him as a girl. The thinking was that if it starts early enough, the child won't know the difference But he did know. He was masculine and not girlish at all. He eventually learned the truth
