It's kind of a novel idea, but it could be really annoying. Happy Death Day was sort of equal parts novel and clever and stupid and annoying, so I kind of expect the same.

An intriguing twist on the old body swap sub genre that with a few exceptions has been dominated by wacky comedies.
Sounds fun and Vaugn as the psycho makes it a must see for me. He's great in Brawl in Cell Block 99 and I like 1998s Psycho remake. I know I'm in the extreme minority, but I actually like it better than the original.

It sets up something interesting and then just sort of goes for more of the same, but leans into comedy and sci fi and away from horror. I didn't really mind the PG-13-ness of the first one. Sure, the tone would have supported some gore and it might have been more fun, but as much as I thought the movie was just OK I give it points for being maybe the first PG-13 slasher movie that actually feels like a slasher movie to me.

The fact that Christopher Landon is directing this seems legit. Happy Death Day is a horror version of Groundhog Day, and this is basically a horror Freaky Friday. Guess he likes taking unique concepts and giving it a scary spin on it.
Kinda wished the trailer didn't give away so much, but it looks pretty funny.

Okay, that's a tad different for once.

You mean they didn't succumb to the temptation to extend the franchise, and title it Freaky Friday the 13th?

You mean they didn't succumb to the temptation to extend the franchise, and title it Freaky Friday the 13th? If Sean Cunningham could do that, he probably would do that.

You mean they didn't succumb to the temptation to extend the franchise, and title it Freaky Friday the 13th? That unironically would have been a way better title.

Christopher Landon said a crossover with 'Happy Death Day' may happen.
