I watched all 4 recently at the insistence of a friend and was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting mostly gross out gags throughout but while there was some of that the humor was more situational with funny lines and moments that had me laughing nonstop. I also like how they had more heart than expected and they covered all these different stages of life and how the whole series actually has the theme of growing up. I liked the characters and actually felt sad at the end of the last one. Plus the super hot girls and the female nudity
Ranking the series
1. American Pie 2. American Reunion 3. American Pie 2 4. American Wedding
Though all are pretty good

I've only ever seen the first one. I'd give it a 6/10.

American Pie is the teen movie that defined my teen years. I love it. 10/10
Pie 2 is also good. It's really funny, which is all you can really ask for. 9/10
I remember watching Wedding in the theater and being disappointed. I remember the jokes didn't really hit. 6/10
I remember nothing about Reunion. I assume I saw it, but I honestly can't remember. ?/10

American Pie 2 -7/10 American Pie -6/10 American Wedding -5.5/10 American Reunion -5/10 American Pie: Band Camp -2/10
I thought the second was the funniest, and the theme of nostalgia resonated with me more than anything in the first one, which doesn't hold up as well for me. It also gave everyone something to do and balanced the characters the best. Ie: not too little Stifler, and not too much Stifler, which brings me to...
Wedding, which is pretty rough around the edges, although the good outweighs the bad. Then there's Reunion, which is..fine, but I don't think it's doing anything as new with the characters as it thinks it is. The writers/directors did the same basic premise a lot (!) better with Cobra Kai.
Then Band Camp is just awful. I only gave it a 2 because the main guy does a decent Seann William Scott impression.

I was the exact age target when these films came out, so I have nostalgia for them. I was 13 in 1999.
My 2020 Adult Ranking:
American Pie: 7/10 American Pie 2: 5/10 American Wedding: 4/10 American Reunion: 2/10
I’m not even acknowledging the “American Pie Presents” films.
