TIH has always felt like an oddball in the MCU. I guess it’s fair to say that part of that is due to Edward Norton. Perhaps, but I think a few lingering threads could had been revisited like Sterns becoming Leader.

No it was an Avengers movie that had Captain America in it. It was also Iron Man 4. Batman v Superman had Wonder Woman in it so it was more like a Trinity movie than anything. Civil War had the Avengers in it and they have a huge role and they fight. It was an Avenger's film before it was a Captain America film. No guilt I'm just defending myself. I made a criticism and you're the rabid fantard who thinks I'm bashing the MCU and hate all the MCU movies. If I wanted Marvel to fail I'd say it and I would bash the movies as hard as I can. So because they are in it that means it was an Avengers movie? Captain America had the main thrust of the story. He was the protagonist. All of the other characters where side characters. So is this a Punisher comic?
Avengers comic?
Nah, it was guilt. I wasn't even talking about you when I said that.
That was more a Iron Man/Cap movie to be honest, Tony has just as much screen time as Cap does, and they specifically tried to write it so either side could be seen as the protagonist of the movie depending on whose side you take, it wasn't a pure Cap movie by any means honestly.

Only because Stark was supposed to remain a hero and not be the secondary antagonist (villain) he was.

No it's because RDJ wanted to have a bigger part, I think he initially had a much smaller part but he wanted to be in it more, and they still had to pay him his big payday so I guess they figured fuck it why not make it a Cap/Tony movie, instead of a primarily Cap movie, it worked, I think better than if they just made it mostly Cap focused, this way they did show both men's perspectives and failings in how they dealt with the situation rather than sugar coating one as the defacto good guy of the situation.

If you're going to do a movie that was led up to since Avengers, you don't give the opposition to that story a small part in the movie. And still the story was primary to Cap. The most they gave Stark was a reason for him ultimately siding against Rogers (BARF scene). And solving the mystery of his parents which still went back to the Cap characters.

I would say that CW ultimately leans more towards being Captain America’s story, but only by a bit.
