Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that's what Plato was getting at. I believe he saw the same dangers in pure Democracy as the US Founding Fathers, i.e., a tyranny of the masses, i.e., say 51% oppressing 49% (this as opposed to what we have now, which is 1% oppressing 99.) I agree with Trump driving us off a cliff though. We were on a nice gradual downward incline before. Now we're going Thelma and Louise style. Yeah that's more Aristotle's take. The reality is Trump is probably not that demagogue, for all his faults I don't actually believe he's evil. What he has highlighted is how easily a populist movement plus voter apathy can put a true tyrant in power. Trump serves as a terrible warning of what could happen when the masses believe they have found a worthy champion. This is a lesson that America must heed or real tyranny will eventually occur. I fear that a large proportion of the American public are too stupid to realize this. If Trump weren't constantly attacking the news media I might have agreed, but by relentlessly claiming that the mainstream news media is fake, he risks causing real damage to democratic institutions not only in the U.S. but around the world. There are already copycats appearing in places like Korea.

He has good taste in the pussies he grabs.
Major creep factor on the admission he would screw his daughter.

At the very least, Hillary's chances of getting the 2020 Dem nomination are extemely unlikely at this point.

How did he demonstrate you don't have to be rich and famous to become president?
He was already rich and famous well before his political run.

He has said that being president is much harder than he would have thought.

He has said that being president is much harder than he would have thought. Kennedy made a similar comment to Eisenhower when they talked after the Cuban Missile Crisis, and Eisenhower reminded Kennedy that he had forewarned him it would be that way three months earlier.

I work nights too, but I won't quibble about it for the same reason that I am reluctant to call CoolJGS bro. Both of you have been "in country" longer than me.

tpfkar He made clearer the extent to which wide swathes of people will embrace laughable hyperbole and straight-up dishonesty in order to feed their rabid hardon for their bugaboos. Cinemachinery, on the other hand, is the King of Lies. If the only way to wipe him off the face of the earth was at the expense of my own life I would do it. It would be the most noble thing I ever did.
