I watched this in the theatre last night and wow! I mean i've seen this movie numerous times on my TV or computer, but being in the theatre makes all the difference... it was like seeing it for the first time again. I remember NOlan once said his movies are intended to be viewed on the big screen and it shows! but it's also the sound! the sound is amazing. there was so much symbolism in this movie that I had never noticed, and I was feeling the love triangle story so much more than i ever did before, heartbreaking. and the pace never misses a beat, wonderfully surprised
PS, I never thought this before but I still wonder what it would've been like if they kept Holmes. Gyllenhaal was good, but the lack of continuity did take away from IT, AND I think it could've been just as good qith Holmes, maybe a bit diff tho

On the big screen it has a "you are there" intensity not seen since Spielberg's Saving Private Ryan.

That other movie 1914 or whatever looks better.

When I saw it during its original release, that remains one of the best theater experience for me. The entire audience was on the edge of their seat.
