I started watching this last year, but wasn't quite into it. Went back and enjoyed it. It's actually better than either Away or Mars. 7/10

I'm tempted to watch it because it's created by Ron Moore. He did the BattleStar Galactica reboot, which is one of my favorites. However, I've heard mixed things about it. I think I'll get to it at some point, but I'm currently in no rush.

The premise is interesting enough. I thought it was slower than it needed to be and the lead was more crazy than conflicted and not a very good astronaut to boot.
You almost wish the Russians did make it first since the NASA becomes a priority.

Sounds interesting. I watched "The Astronaut Wives Club" years ago. But that stopped at a certain point history wise after one season. Edit: Oh! It's an alternative history plot. That could be cool.

Who's watching season 2?
The tension in episode 1 was fantastic. Up to ep. 3 now, and there are too many threads of different storylines. Pace is slowing down. I'd like to see more action.
How many pounds did they make Michael Dorman gain for this role? It's like watching someone pour ketchup on a strawberry sundae.

They seem to be using CGI to make presidents like Reagan say things during speeches that they didn't ever say in real life. It's very convincing visually.

And I loved that show, but when they killed off Peggy it was clear that they will go South from now on.

show is pretty good, its slow pace similar to movie First Man, plenty of time jumps, in some ways reminds me of Halt and Catch Fire

I'm about to hit the first season finale.
I'm enjoying it very much and I heard the second season is even better.

I love alt-history, and this show is one of the best I've seen of that genre. My favourite bits are the news reports of the FAM timeline.
The drama is the weakest aspect of the show though. This was glaringly obvious in the third season. They really need to lift their game on that front in Season 4.
Speaking of other recent space-themed shows mentioned, I haven't seen Away, but Mars (the 2016 to 2018 docudrama) should've been called the cure for insomnia, each episode was dull making the whole show a real chore to watch. Their "disaster on Mars" took almost an entire episode to happen!
