Trying to find the last team that won the WS and had a winning pct. of less that .400 the next year. I know the 1998 Marlins, but that was a "Fire Sale" team.

Nice article in the Athletic about Jackie Bradley, Jr. Probably his last days in Boston, but I really wish the Sox would keep him. Okay, the guy can't hit his weight. But he saves so many runs it balances out. One of the best defensive CF's I've ever seen. And a nice guy to have in the clubhouse.

It would be awesome if the Fishies could pull out a win tonight and inch closer to making the playoffs, but Urena is pitching and I’ve made my feelings on him quite clear - he’s a shitty pitcher who’s never been anything but subpar and he doesn’t belong in the Marlins rotation.

My mother used to work in the Marine Midland Bank tower next to the ballpark. You could see right into the park from some of the offices, not hers.

Braves have arguably the best hitting in MLB - their lineup is fantastic. I agree. I will once again state how much I wish Atlanta had one more dependable starter. Max Fried is a legit Cy Young candidate and Ian Anderson has been excellent since being called up. After those 2 guys tho..... The 3rd guy wouldn't even need to have a ERA under 2.00 like Fried and Anderson. He just would be need to go say 5 innings without giving up a ton of runs and/or making Atlanta use their bullpen too early.
