If the current release date sticks, then the movie will be released exactly 11 years after IM2, which was Black Widow’s debut in the MCU.

Well crap. I have to admit that the longer they push this movie out, the more I lose hype for it. Maybe just me... I know there are probably people out there who get more hyped with the longer wait.

Well aside from Incredible Hulk to Iron Man 2 it's the longest gap between MCU movies I think.
With the Netflix series done as well it's been a drought. This Wandavision is really the first thing since that last Spider-Man movie.

I'm not sure how much it matters considering the character was offed in the 'present' with Endgame already. This isn't some stepping stone sequel.

COVID-19: "I am inevitable." How haunting is the end of IW in a post-covid world? I haven't watched it in a while, but I'm sure the scene where T'Challa fades away is super depressing now.

It was pretty grim, depressing, and there was a sense of hopelessness. In Endgame, there were gloomy and darkly saturated shots of New York City and the Citi Field looked almost deserted. The main Avengers were still coping with the loss of their friends five years later.

Could you imagine if COVID had hit right after IW and all the succeeding movies after that would have been postponed indefinitely?

Though the box office would've been insane (well, more insane than it already was) after a wait like that.
