and you have to live for 20 years (without carrying any modern technology with you) in any past culture/civilisation/kingdom of your choice. Which time period you would chose and which country? You can not choose any date later than 1600. History is often driven by malcontents, and there might have been very happy and well adjusted innocent people at most times throughout it. If the "resurrection" was not just Jesus disappearing during a cloud of dust, then I would have liked to witness that. well, no-one else did!

Of course, it wasn't perfect. There was fighting in Korea, Algeria, Malaysia, and numerous other places. And the Cold War was ongoing. 1945 was when WWII ended and 1965 was when LBJ and his scurvy crew did away with 90% silver coinage, so it seemed like a rather good twenty-year period to live in.

I would pick 1850-1870 in the United Kingdom and that is mainly so i could have gone and see the The Great Exhibition that was in London in 1851.
