I did just watch the Steve Martin scene right now while looking for a Donald Pleasence scene on Youtube. The scene is quite good and Steve Martin is awesome in the scene. That is not sarcasm btw. I might have to watch this movie. I don't care for Yellow Submarine, so that kind of put me off of watching their other movies. The songs in the movie are terrific, but the movie itself is dumb. The Sgt. Pepper's movie isn't technically a Beatles movie, because they weren't involved in it. All their songs are covered by other people in that one. Interesting. Thanks for the info.

Just a little more info for you; while the Beatles aren't in the movie, the spirit is very much the same as their own movies...goofy fun.

'Any Old Port In A Storm' - Columbo Yes, he was very good in that one. Absolutely likable. His fit at the restaurant was both funny and intense. When Julie Harris tried to put the moves on him, I was like "girl, you better watch yourself!"

Favorite oddball quote by someone from a Donald Pleasence film:
"I don't know how they hoped to get away with it disguised as father and son. He's got a very feminine figure for a boy of 16, and he can't keep his hands of of her even in public." James Robertson Justice, Dr. Crippen. I was surprised to see DP as a romantic lead with bedroom scene in that movie.

Wake Fright Prince of Darkness Halloween The Devonsville Terror The Black Windmill
Wake in Fright is one of my all time favorites and Pleasance's drunken "philosopher" is a great character.
The next two choices are obvious.
The Devonsville Terror is great movie, but only in it's director's cut form, sadly only available on vhs AFAIK. Since it's not on the list, I picked Raw Meat (Death Line) instead.
The Black Windmill is not a great movie, but Pleasance's dryly humorous character I really enjoyed.
