Douglas over Tyson. It didn't even compute for a few weeks. it's a cute lil story...
but those of us who really know boxing know that Mike actually won the fight
Funny, I seen Buster walking off with the belts.

Like a thief in the night.... Boo fucking hoo
Tyson should have dropped Douglas in three if he was as good as his little fanboys think.

That's like saying the 1923 New York Yankees didn't deserve their World Series title over the New York Giants because they didn't sweep them

Team Sports: it's the Miracle on Ice by far.
Individually: it's Nicklaus winning the Masters in 86.

The Miracle on Ice happened before I was born. Take that, you old fogies!
The first one that came to mind was... and this one's for Beardy... the Devils sweeping the Red Wings in the 1995 Stanley Cup Finals. My little teenage self thought not only that Detroit would win, not only would they sweep, but they'd also blow New Jersey out every game.

Douglas over Tyson. It didn't even compute for a few weeks. We were watching that fight and when we saw Tyson on all fours pathetically and sadly trying to put his mouthpiece back in while the ref counted him out, one guy said, "Two plus two doesn't equal four anymore." Yes, that loss was that shocking. Tyson was going to lose one day, that's not a big deal. Ray Robinson lost 19 fights. But to lose to Buster Douglas....man, it's still astounding.

It’s Leicester in 2016.
38 games, first past the post. No single game playoff, no month long ‘hot streak’, you have to maintain pace for an entire 9 month campaign. And they were 5000/1 odds to win. Competing against oil rich and legendary clubs known the world over - Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs.
Beat them all.
It’s easily the biggest upset of all time.

You know.
You're right.
The Yankees weren't robbed of their title like Tyson was.

Individually: it's Nicklaus winning the Masters in 86. Jack was 46 when he won that. But my mind turns to Tom Watson at the Open in 2009. If only he'd held out and parred that final hole, he'd have won at the age of 59. So close to what surely would have been the biggest upset...

True, but close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.☺

I can't think anything as big profile come close to the miracle on ice Lake Placid 1980.
Others: Of course, the 18-1, Superbowl 42 1990 World Series sweep of mighty A's by the Reds. 1995 Stanley Cup final when the New Jersey Devils won its first Stanley Cup by sweeping the highly favorite Red Wings. Not high profile, but the Japanese women beating the US women in the Olympic softball final by 1 run was quite shocking. That was the last Olympic softball game and the only loss ever by the US team
