NHL season - like always - will come down to the last handful of games or so in order to get in the playoffs - can jump from like a #13 seed to a #4 seed if you're hot and the teams in front of you falter with the parity of the league and point system That being said we're in the 9 spot right now behind Boston Next 2 games vs. Boston Be nice to pick up at least 3 points in these next two games to gain some ground 20 games left for us Flyers at Bruins Right Now FLY OR DIE!

Vancouver Canucks 23+ COVID-19 protocols. I think about 20 players, the rest staff.
Their families now also dealing.

Hart seeing some rubber early - looks steady I was watching the Red Sox game, how did this one end up? 🤔

Jack Campbell ties Felix Potvin - Leafs record 9 wins in a row.
I say ride him through the playoffs. Freddie (injured for a few weeks now) has been solid but the team shuts down in front of him way too much.

Hart seeing some rubber early - looks steady I was watching the Red Sox game, how did this one end up? 🤔 For me right now it's about watching for improvement in our defense and goaltending
And we've been playing a lot better as of late
I think Viggy's recent messages of waiving Ghosty (then bringing him back after he cleared waivers) and healthy scratches like Oskar, benching Hart have really sent a message to the team
Hart played decent last night so I'm happy with that.
Panic mode was setting in amongst the natives teams had figured him out - shoot high glove side and you've solved him - but he's played pretty steady since his return
Last 5 games or so of the season as always is where it starts to matter
Did you know back in 2010 we made the playoffs on the final day of the regular season and then we went onto the Stanley Cup?

I couldn't be more pleased as it's a telling tale for what's to come as we wind the season down and then the games are meaningful the last week or so of the regular season I'm a happy camper

Can't believe the Devils traded Zajac and Palmieri to the Islanders for a couple of prospects and draft picks.

Toronto Maple LTIRs Adding players, keeping them on IR, until the playoffs when the salary cap doesn't matter.

Jack Campbell wins NHL record 11th game in a row. Matthews' hat trick, 30 goals.
As for the 4 COVID-19 divisions, I started getting cabin fever this month. I miss the Leafs having more opponents, I miss seeing rivals deal with new opponents, & I just don't think the season will be as memorable when I've barely followed more than the Canadian teams. Stanley Cup semis & final will be fascinating.

It isn't NHL, and I didn't feel like starting a thread because I'm sure nobody cares...but UMass won the NCAA hockey championship tonight! Second title appearance in 3 years, got it done this time.
I'm not going to pretend to be a huge college hockey fan, but it's always nice to see UMass win a title of any kind. It's been fun watching the Boston cable sports media cover their run. They don't think anything exists west of Worcester so they don't really know what to say. A Massachusetts team was playing for a national title the next day, and Friday night they literally did a 30 second segment on Boston Sports Tonight. The three hosts just kind of looked at each other and said, "So, UMass... Ok." It would've been a 30 minute segment if it was BU or BC.
Whatever man, it's all good. Go UMass!

There's such a long history of great college hockey in New England. You got the Massachusetts teams, Providence, Maine, New Hampshire......all of whom have a rich history featuring many NHL greats.

I'm pretty sure the playoffs can start anytime now. I think the Canucks now have to play 19(?) in 31 days, on no legs & recovering from COVID-19 breakdowns. So f'n stupid.

Always comes down to the last week or so and this season has been a sh*tshow with Covid
Anything can happen
15 games or so left for us
