Yes and no. I'm all for more division games, but as a Bruins fan who lives in California, I try to get my Bruins fix once a year when they come out here. Next year hopefully back to normal schedules. I think the league has expanded so much that every team cannot play every other team every season. Or soon they'll play every team twice (once at home, once on the road).

Lundqvist will have open heart surgery.
Good luck, Henrik. That’s scary stuff.

Teams only playing within their division all season. Quite possibly an all Eastern or all Western Stanley Cup Final.

Boston, like New York, Detroit and Minnesota are pretty big draws in the NHL for US cities? Outdoor games are way, way overdone now a days though. There's absolutely nothing special about them. The first two were pretty great. Montreal at Edmonton, two pretty successful Canadian teams, it was mostly cool for the alumni game in which we got to see Gretzky, Messier, etc wearing Oilers sweaters again. The second one, Crosby put on a show, it snowed, etc. Now it's just another regular season game, a cash cow I'm sure, which is great. Do as many as possible to make as much cash as possible, great. But it's nothing special.

But it's nothing special. Outdoor games seem to hockey as one handed catches are to football. Once the AHL & NCAA started playing outdoor events, the magic was gone. The most memorable ones were the venues themselves, Wrigley, Fenway, the Big House, etc. I'm not sure what's left there... Lambeau Field, Blackhawks vs. Wild?? Camden Yards, Flyers vs. Capitals??

Keep it this way
We ditched two loser cities/franchises in Carolina and Columbus and added 2 teams with history in Boston and Buffalo Keep it this way

News of the day - Toronto & Ottawa are allowed by gov't to play at their home rinks.
