You’re asking people not to believe, which puts you in competition with an infinite being. You can’t compete. But I thought you told us, Mrs, that your supposed God didn't care whether we believed in it or not? He clearly doesn't feel He is in a competition; so why should you on His behalf - especially if you are not proselytizing, as you have regularly assured us?

Tolerance. Thirst for knowledge.
We had it in those classes and they were some of the most interesting moments of our lives.

I’m not asking this person to believe. This person is asking me not to believe.

Tolerance is totally impossible for the aggressors against religion sometimes.

Wow. Is that the woman who so often criticises the attacking of others? You are claiming that someone 'cannot compete' with your preferred deity. That suggests advocacy for it.

You are incapable of understanding what’s being said. Jews don’t deny our religion. We aren’t allowed to try to pull anyone else in. This person is trying to pull me out.

Intolerance against religion can make words jumble in some people’s heads.

No I know exactly what you said, and its implications. Someone who, supposedly, does not proselytize or advocate for a purported deity would not argue in favour of it over 'the competition' - simple as that. I'm sorry, is that suggestion too attacking for you?

I’m refusing to let you or any other intolerant jerk drag me from my religion. You can’t imagine a universe where you aren’t allowed to try to do this. This is YOUR religion.

Here you seem unduly defensive, but it is best not to tell someone what they cannot imagine. I am not sure what this means. But atheism is not a religion. Just sayin.

Like being anti-stamp collecting is a hobby? lol However as I am not in opposition to organized religion, religious practices or religious institutions and have not expressed such sentiments (although I have over time criticised them) here, I will just ignore this as another unwarranted attack.

I would think you would stay totally away from the subject of religion. Just “Hey, I don’t believe so I’ll do something else with my life.” Why does being against religion focus you? There are 4 or 5 billion strong believers. You can’t wipe religion off the planet.

I thought I mentioned before that the Argument from Popularity was a fallacy? It still is. As for why religion focuses me, maybe it is because this is a religious discussion forum. And I do like to stay focused. Rather than when on a themed thread going off on a tangential non-sequitur for instance.. Whenever I ever pledge to 'wipe religion of the face of the planet', feel free to remind me of the difficulty of abolishing human credulity and magical thinking again.

Religion isn’t correct because of popularity - this isn’t what I said. Your religion is to attack religion which means 5 billion people or so are too much to handle. Atheism isn’t satisfying to you on its own. Maybe you SHOULD take up stamp collecting.

Perhaps you've noticed by now that no one does nor should care what you think is a "fallacy." Popularity is a very important argument in many significant areas. Of course no science is determined by popularity, nor by any "consensus," but you don't police that at all. Why not?
