NJtoTX 🇩 🇷 🇦 🇰 🇪I am making the effort to not copy the list in the name of good sportsmanship and all that...even though still not sure why it's a problem. Some glitch for some folks, plus all those notifications could drive you nuts, I suppose. I only do that when on my tablet at work since I have no other method. See, I can play nice.

concerning the notifications could drive you nuts part of it …
notifications can be turned off for individual boards OR from individual posters.
I was participating in some games in "other games" and turned off the notifications there as they were very numerous and not needed.
Profile/ Edit profile / notifications/ add board (or member)

There are over 50 active threads and about a dozen regular players. Logically and logistically it is apparent that not all of the threads are going to get played on every day and some languish for a couple of days even though there are plenty of good entries to be played.
A poster taking over a thread at # 11 (or at slightly over the 24 hour mark) and changing the topic just because they cannot find a film that 'fits" seems counter productive to the spirit of the game.
Just because "Rule #11" from the long gone original board says:. If there have been no new items posted to the current topic in 24 hours, it can be considered dead and anyone may start a new topic. doesn't mean that it makes sense to do it.
K that's the thought for the day because it's a pain waiting for a topic to end so that one that was de-railed can be revived and finished.

During the time that you were seen to be on-line in the Games area, you did not reply to the question concerning "Glen" vs "Valley" . Several of us decided to wait until you answered and when you chose to not do so after 24 hours rather than holding up the thread further … the game proceeded.
Basically the suggestion was made that we wait the situation out and we enjoyed a game of gin and pinochle while we waited.

This "war" is in YOUR mind. All WE want to do is play the games without nit-picky interference, vendettas and threats. You are taking a general comment about de-railing threads as a personal attack ! The POINT is that threads do not need replacing when there are openings left in a thread and possible fills available. It takes longer for this small population to make their way down the thread list. Sorry that your old board died and that it is different here but that is life.
You play quite seldom and when you actually play can be quite clever at making up topics. BUT ... Your swearing and making threats like a disgruntled teen not getting his way is not needed or appreciated.
