Al Gore predicting Florida would be underwater by the 2020s still a possibility. True. The hysteria created around global warming because of Al Gore and "An Inconvenient Truth" seems to have so far been an incorrect prediction. Gore's global warming predictions of miles of coastline disappearing throughout the 2010's has been nothing short of a fail. But yes, I guess we still have 3 more years based on my post, but to me it seems unlikely given the trends. |

The Y2K bug. Hard to believe so many people believed it would happen. Apparently the United States spent $100 Billion in preparation for Y2K. It makes you wonder how much of that was needed to fix the infrastructure and how much of it was really just a waste. So many citizens were so worried about it, that the Indiana State Emergency Management Agency activated their Emergency Operations Center over the New Year's holiday, just in case the world went into meltdown. It's didn't. Time and Money were mostly wasted... However, there were a few issues that did happen around the world, but nowhere near, what so many were worried about. |

Just over two years to go until 2020, and over nine years to go after that... before we will know if his prediction is incorrect or not. A lot can happen in 12 years! Meteor Showers, Earthquakes, Volcanic Eruptions, Nuclear Winter, Continental Shifts, Pole Shifts... |

In short, yeah, you are technically correct. I only labeled it "incorrect" because Gore's predicted trends throughout the 2010's have so far been completely off the mark. Time will tell. |
