I guess Trick or Treating is not happening this year. At least not here in California.
BUT
I hear sales of candy is up.
Did you or will you buy 'Halloween candy' ?

I buy a pound bag of Brach's candy corn and a bag of Brach's Pumpkins (all made with honey !) when they get to 75% off after the holiday.
I have about a pint of the corn left from last year's supply and it's still right tasty !

Nope; my town hasn't officially made a decision yet, but a couple of nearby towns have already called off trick-or-treating. I've asked a few local kids, and they're not planning to go door to door. So there's no reason to buy any candy...although if some discounted bags of dark chocolate should fall into the shopping cart after Halloween, I might have to take them home.

I live in a fairly large apartment complex in Southern California, but I still don't know if there will be an official announcement regarding Trick-or-Treating. Last year, we stocked up on goodies, and we had one--one!--family of three knock on our door. I took most of the leftovers to my workplace. Like BAT, I might pick up some heavily-discounted candy corn after Oct. 31. There aren't too many kinds of candy I can safely eat, due to my dairy allergy.

"Kind of"
Technically, per the question, "no." I do have candy, but I bought it last year. it's a half-full bag of mini Snickers, and it's been living in the freezer, so it should be OK.
I suppose that I should buy a fresh bag, but I doubt that I'll have any TOTers. Last year, I think I had 4 ... that was "bell rings," with 2 + kids each. There's a very fancy neighborhood, not far from here. They go all out in both decorations and "goodies." Kids are smart. They flock to that area, and pretty much bypass these blocks of Riff-Raff.
That, combined with general talk of downplaying the tradition this year, I can see a night with no action. I'll think about it.

enigma72Yah.... I think that the pumpkins by Brach's are really good ! They get hard faster than the corn tho' so they get eaten first. Thing is, chocolate is around all year and I don't like those mini-pieces anyway ... candy corn and such are only available at Halloween. BTW .. did NOT like the candy Indian Corn with the chocolate layer

I buy stuff I like on the day so if it's not been given away I can eat it myself.
