Yes CVS had some deals but I had to sign up for a CVS card. I got Kit Kats, white and dark chocolate and Reese's Cups, but I skipped out on the Frankensteined and Glow in the Dark Wrappered bags and went for the regular versions, after some confusion, which led to me having to get a card.
1.99 for a bag, but 3 for 3.33 or something close. And some candy corn, but I'd wish they were the one's with Brown ends and possibly Pumpkins also n the bag.
I also tried a bag of Yogurt Skittles.

That's a really good price Shannon! i bought a bag of kit kats, too! love the crunch and chocolate. Were the yogurt skittles good? I like yogurt pretzels.

I have bought and handed out candy in past years, but I'm not doing it this year. good idea alpha! you don't want sticky, candy hands on your newly stained deck! jk I'm not having my lights on Halloween. That would just invite kids. Course they'd probably be masked. lol

enigma72Yah.... I think that the pumpkins by Brach's are really good ! They get hard faster than the corn tho' so they get eaten first. Thing is, chocolate is around all year and I don't like those mini-pieces anyway ... candy corn and such are only available at Halloween. BTW .. did NOT like the candy Indian Corn with the chocolate layer ![](https://tse4.mm.bing.net/th?id=OIP.0_B9nSn0WU8x9BFjMvneXwHaHa&pid=Api&P=0&w=300&h=300) funny bat but shannondegroot likes the chocolate ones. lol she says so in this thread. I may have had them. I'm not sure. Didn't make a big impression

I am enjoying the yogurt Skittles, they are something new and different. They are Skittles with a yogurt coating. Though there was one red Skittle in the bag as well.

I'm not handing out candy because of COVID-19 concerns. The state has advised residents of my county "Exercise high degree of caution". But the city wrote, "Considering how many things have been taken from our children this past year, Trick of Treating was not one we wanted to take away." But then they added, "Please adhere to the Governor's recommendations on social distancing, gatherings of people and the wearing of masks." Sorry kids, but IMO it's not possible to adhere to the Governor's recommendations and hand out treats at the same time. Hopefully, we won't be dealing with COVID-19 this time next year.

That's why I remember your stain. It is on my mind.

I don't hand out treats, I put them on a little table on the porch and let them help themself That would work, and would certainly be safe for the treat providers. But in their flyer the city specifically requested that residents don't let the children retrieve their own treats. Instead they want residents to distribute candy with gloved hands and use hand sanitizer frequently. IMO it's not worth the risk.

Other.
I'm still on the fence as to what I'm going to do.
I mean - yes, I would still like to hand treats out to the rugrats and anklebiters. However, at the same time, I want to maintain safety - not just for me.
Mind you, the amount of kids I have handed treats out to - the average in the last 5 years is 21. The average of the last 2 years is 14.
I may go out this Saturday, and buy a bag of something. Then, take it to the local Sally Army, and donate it.
Who knows?

I usually don't. Ive been living in a section of town with lots of apartment buildings and many parents take their kids to better neighborhoods to walk around in. But once i move out and get a nicer house Ill be all about it.
