You're talking to the wrong guy. It wouldn't matter if Brown was playing. Brown and Tatum are both soft players and shitty leaders. I'm all for a complete blowup at this point. No team with Tatum as its star will ever win anything unless they can make a super team with two more established stars. The Celtics as constructed aren't going anywhere, and Ainge might be the first head to roll. Oh, and Simmons and Embiid were both playing in 2018 when the Celtics whipped them 4-1 in the conference semis. So I guess that would have been when Jo-Jo was 24 and Ben was 21 and they were getting their feet wet in NBA playoff action
Shame on them
How embarrassing Tatum was 20, Brown was 22. Why do you always make excuses when your team loses? How does that help you feel better? Do you do this in life too?

"So I guess that would have been when Jo-Jo was 24 and Ben was 21 and they were getting their feet wet in NBA playoff action" What was the point of this statement if not an excuse? It's literally what you're doing here. "Well of course they lost, they were just learning how to play in the playoffs." It's an excuse.

You act like Tatum/Brown were the only ones on that team
They had some proven vets like Horford, Baynes, Monroe - savvy vets
Ben and Jo-Jo were still young pups as they still are

lol You had Reddick, Covington, Ilyasova, Belinelli-- vets who played a lot more than Monroe's 14 minutes in the entire series, I can assure you. But hey, if you want to attribute that beatdown to Aron Baynes, I'm fine with that. The great Simmons and Embiid sent packing by Aron Baynes.

My Pacers are destroying Charlotte thus far, as expected. I hope we get Boston for the second game as I fear Washington right now. Then we can possibly give the 76ers a slight scare or at least I hope!

Looks like unfortunately you didn't get your wish
Indiana/Washington
I wanted no part of Beal/Westbrook in the first round - but truth be told - your Pacers have given the Sixers trouble over the last few years
Sabonis always plays well against us. TJ McConnell looks like he has turned into a good player and not just a 'cute lil role player' off the bench
When are Myles Turner and TJ Warren coming back?
Last year in the bubble Warren completely went off on the Sixers for over 50
I always felt they had a nice team with the addition of Brogdon - kind of surprised about their final record

The good news: Tatum pulled a Tatum and dropped 50, we get the #7 seed. The bad news: Tatum will probably pull a Tatum and disappear for the next three games. And hey, it won't be his fault alone if they lose. But there's no reason a Tatum/Brown/Walker/Smart team should be a 7 seed and have such an awful record. All year long we heard the same commentary ad nauseum, "We believe in ourselves/we just need to find consistency/we need to play with a sense of urgency/guys need to compete." Fournier was even saying it and he's only been here since March. Well it starts at the top. If Tatum and Brown are our two best players, they need to act like it and show up every night. They never did, and here we are.
I said the other day that Tatum couldn't win without a super team around him. Hardly a fair criticism, nobody wins alone-- hell, my guy Pierce didn't win it all until he had real help either. But Pierce was on some bad teams, and nobody ever questioned his willingness to compete. It's a problem when your superstar only shows up for every third game. Some nights the shooting touch might not be there, you still have to compete. None of this sliding to the basket and horribly missing some hybrid layup/finger roll then putting your hands up in front of the ref. Finish with authority.
Tatum needs to ball out these playoffs and show me he wants to win. They're playing the Nets, I'm not expecting a miracle here. But he better not be the reason the C's lose playoff games, like he was in the Raptors series last season that should've been a sweep instead of a 7 game dogfight.

Yeah, sorry, we're probably gonna lose. I'm sure you guys will handle Washington just fine. My Pacers are just too beat up right now and Washington has had our number lately. I suppose Sabo can pull off an insane game and give us the win but it's probably better if we don't.

My thinking is every extra game that Durant and Harden has to play is extra wear and tear on their beat up bodies
The longer its extended also makes for the greater possibility of Kyrie self destructing

The west will be far more interesting in that department with the Lakers, Warriors and Trailblazers in those spots.

I don’t even expect my Pacers to beat Washington right now, that’s the matchup I didn’t want. Even if we do win, we’ll probably steal one game at best against the 76ers.

It would be pretty funny, especially after LeBron bitched about it.
