DraftKings Odds to Win 20221 Championship -
Lakers +350 Clippers +400 Bucks +500 Warriors +600 Nets +900 Heat +900 Celtics +1200 Raptors +1600 Nuggets +2000 Mavericks +2200 Rockets +2200 Sixers +3000 Jazz +4000 Trail Blazers +5000 Pelicans + 7000 Thunder +8000 Pacers +10000 Suns +10000 Hawks +15000 Bulls +15000 Grizzlies +15000 T'Wolves +15000 Magic +20000 Wizards +20000 Kings +25000 Spurs +25000 Hornets +50000 Cavaliers +50000 Pistons +50000 Knicks +50000
Interesting. Interesting indeed. NBA Draft is slated for Nov. 18th but could be moved. Free Agency may start late November/Early December but Silver has stated nothing is set in stone and the official start of the 2020/21 season is still up in the air.
Here's what the smart bettor does. You take a very good team lingering around 12 or so up there and you put heavy money on them. That 12 team up there is the 76ers - with a little tinkering here and there - some wheelin' and dealin' done at the draft and during free agency - they quickly catapult from 12 to say 1 or so.
Want to make an easy $3000? Put $100 down on the Sixers right now.

Free Agency is going to be fascinating as usual Anthony Davis on his upcoming Free Agency right after winning the Title with LeBron 'I have no idea' Rumors were swirling earlier he could head home to Chicago (not sure about their cap situation) - he could get the most money from the Lakers from my understanding (somebody correct me if I'm wrong) - i.e the Lakers are the one team who can offer him 5 years - and with his injury history that would be the smart move Prediction - He pulls a Kawhi and he bolts

Warriors. They basically had a full year off. Curry, Thompson, Green, Wiggins.

ESPN has come out with their Power Rankings for 2020/21 - remember - we still have The Draft and Free Agency
ESPN Power Rankings 2020/21
1. Lakers 2. Clippers 3. Bucks 4. Nuggets 5. Mavericks 6. Warriors 7. Celtics 8. Sixers
I like it - 'The Great 8' or 'Elite 8' if you will.......
I'd probably replace Boston with Utah (#14) - other than it looks solid if the Mavs keep improving and the Warriors bounce back with Steph/Klay

Incredibly intrigued if they swap that #2 pick and Wiggins for a star to go with Klay/Steph.

Which franchise-altering generational talent will the Sixers grab at the 21 spot, frogs? Glad you asked.
If we're keeping the pick - we need guards who can shoot -
Stanford PG Tyrell Terry fits that bill and should be there.
That being said. We need to tinker with the roster a bit. We need shooters, guards and wings to surround around Ben and Joel
To unload the Horford/Harris abysmal contracts - we need to search for other abysmal contracts around the leage - where those abysmal contracts may be a better fit for our team.
For instance - I'm not opposed to -
Horford/JRich/#21/2 2nds for
Buddy Hield (we need a knockdown shooter since JJ left)
Nor am I opposed to -
Harris/#21/'Tisse for
CP3 (CP3 runs the point in the halfcourt game and Ben in transition as 'Point Forward')
All teams mix and match slop to make salaries work.
I'd attempt both moves above (you just swap out that #21 for a future first in one of the deals)
New lineup -
CP3 Shake Hield Ben Joel
Or you can roll -
CP3 Hield GR3 (if we re-sign him)
Ben
Joel
It's going to be a very intriguing offseason before the first tipoff.

Since you started the thread, I'll pick the Sixers. Sixers beating the Warriors in the final. I like it.
There's been rumors swirling there could be a deal done on draft night between the two teams which I find fascinating.
Brand stated, and Doc reiterated, that they're going to hold onto Joel and Ben - but who knows if it's just positioning to try to get more value for one.
What I'd love - and I think it would be good for both teams -
Would be for the Sixers to ship Horford out there to play the '5' - give them the #21 pick as well and a couple of 2nds if they want it for Andrew Wiggins.
Wiggins is one of those players I was talking about above - bad contract - has a reputation for having no dog in him - but a fit for our team - a much better fit than Horford.

Per MassLive -
John Hollinger (former Grizzly exec) is reporting the NBA might be thinking of doing something similar to MLB with a start day on Martin Luther King Day.
Pretty much play division teams - and have a series of games vs. each team
Pretty interesting.
Article goes on to state how teams like the Bucks would have an advantage, as would the Heat in their division - because they get to feast on inferior opponents
Meanwhile - teams like the 76ers would get a raw deal because their series would be against the revamped Nets, Raptors and even the Celtics may be able to give them a little bit of trouble.
They're looking to get a full 82 game schedule in - quickly - to get the schedule back on track.
Interesting.

The Nets and Raptors have both revealed new uniforms for the upcoming season
I kind of like the Nets
I don't think anybody will notice a change in the Raptors uniforms other than their 12 fans or so.

I can't wait to watch them implode
Kyrie and KD are the two players in any of the 4 major sports that that I dislike the most
And lucky me - I'll get to watch them a ton since they're in our division and I'm assuming they're going to have a ton of national televised games as well.
Topnotch entertainment.
Can't wait to see if KD and his stringbean arms pulls his fake tough guy act on Jo-Jo again.

Since it is in our sector, the Enterprise has been assigned to transport ambassadors of Philadelphia-based basketball team the 76ers to a vitally important council. The issues of the council are politically complex and highly sensitive, with their host city's fans said to be angry that the franchise's long-running "Process" has yet to culminate in any discernible success. The conference will consider the continued accumulation of assets in the 76ers' continued efforts to win a playoff series.
