Seth is exactly what the Sixers need - more shooting - shot 45.2% from 3 last year and is 44.3% for his career Sixers had a really good day yesterday. Horford and Richardson gone. Green and Curry in. Tyrese Maxey and Isaiah Joe drafted. Still the possibility of shedding Tobias Harris and his contract. I’m over the Harden to Philly hype.

I'm not really in love with Maxey - shot 42.7% last year and only 29.2% from 3 - seems like a good kid though
It's the 21st pick in the draft - can't expect him to contribute that much anyway this year
Curious to see if they can get shooters during free agency and if they can clear some cap space for them - Gallinari is out there - sounds like Bogdanovic is back on the market, Bertans too ....

Per Woj - Klay Thompson - season ending achilles tear He’s done, in a way. He’ll play again but severely doubt be the same player he once was.

I think KD's done too (in a way) - intrigued to watch him play this year - I'm betting he comes back like 65% of the player he once was - which is still good - but I think people are going to be in for a bit of a surprise

Tough break for Klay and the Warriors. Maybe Steve 'Coach of the Year' Kerr can do better than dead last in the NBA this year without one of his stars.

I don't see why they bothered extending the option two days if they weren't going to trade him. I'm fine with him leaving town, but I would've liked something in return. He's a good player who was snakebit by fluke injuries his entire Celtics career, he only ended up playing roughly half of all games he could've in Boston. Good luck to him at his next stop.

writing was on the wall - Free Agency starts today and they want to go in another direction so there was a mutual agreement between them?
lot of money to give up - but if he didn't feel wanted by the team - maybe could have been ugly all year as far as chemistry/cancer in the locker room - maybe just decided to move on with his life as opposed to staying in a spot where he wasn't wanted?
don't live up so I don't know the background of his relationship with them - it's just a lot of money to be left on the table - can't see him getting a contract like that in free agency. maybe he just needs a change of scenery and wants to pick where he wants to play?

They must have tried to shop him but it's tough because he has all the leverage. The relationship was strained due to the logjam at his position, and he was never able to carve out a niche due to all the injuries. He's better than how they were using him, but the injuries dictated that. Tatum and Brown were better than anyone expected and Hayward was always hurt. Like I said yesterday in my post about the C's draft, the writing was on the wall for Hayward's future in Boston when they drafted Nesmith. Before that really, but that pick cemented it. I just wish we could've orchestrated a trade to get anything for all the money we wasted on him over three years. From his perspective, I'm sure he wants to choose his destination and prove he's still a good player. A lot of chatter about the Knicks, that would be sad. Talk about a wasted career.

I hope they go after him and Russ - yeah - they'd still blow - but at least it's something - a little intrigue up there to go along with all the rest of the intrigue with the Nets, Sixers and Celtics in the division. Even though the Raps are good - I really don't lump them in there as far as intrigue - they're very vanilla - no personality - like a Ham & Cheese sandwich
