To me it would be a great opening day - it's become a Christmas staple.
Lot's of people are stating it's way too early and a more realistic date would be Martin Luther King Jr. Day
It would be a much shorter offseason, but then again they did just have four months off. Per Shams -
NBA targeting Dec 22nd start date and 72 game schedule
Per Woj -
NBA still discussing MLB style season where teams would concentrate on playing only the teams in their geographic location/division - possibly series styles matchups as well.

Two months later than normal and only ten fewer games? When do they expect the season to end? The ratings were shit because nobody wants to watch basketball in the middle of the summer. I like the ideas being thrown around (divisional/geographic matchups, regular season 'series') for what would be a crazy year, but that seems like an awful lot of games for a shortened season.

Apparently they want it end before the Olympics and want to get back on schedule for next year.
So rumors have been swirling they can be playing some series - for example - your Celts.
They go up to Toronto to get a 3 game series in vs. the Raps - then -
They go down to New York and get a 3 game or so series vs. The Knicks in - then over to Brooklyn for a 3 game vs. The Nets - then down to Philly for a 3 game set - then return home as these teams then play at the Garden
It's an interesting concept - but teams within a weak division benefit greatly - and teams that our in our division suffer - because we're in an Elite Division and we'll be murdering each other all year.

2021-22 is when we're going to start to see Ben and Joel reach the very beginning of their primes - when it all starts to fall into place.

Huge News.
Per Brian Windhorst and Bobby Marks
Some free agents are actually already agreeing to 'under the table handshake' free agent deals.
They claim agents want clarification for their clients just when Free Agency is supposed to begin - so some are getting a jump on the proceedings

I wouldn't go that far - but - Doc is a very beloved coach in the NBA
Players adore him
Curious if the Sixers are one of those teams who have something accomplished under the table right now
It's tricky because we've still got Draft Night coming - that's when we're going to be wheelin' and dealin' - going to be lots of turnover coming

NBA reportedly lost $1.5 Billion in revenue due to Covid Good, that's what they get for kowtowing to a government that suppresses its citizens. Pricks like Lebron have nothing bad to say about a country like China, but are always very eager to put down a country where they are free enough to be able to make millions for playing a fucking game. Fuck Lebron, fuck Adam Silver, fuck the NBA. Here's hoping they lose another billion next year. 🇨🇳🏀🇨🇳🏀🇨🇳🏀👎👎👎

Rumor has it - they're going to do it MLB style - you're just going to be warring with your geographic brethren all year tourney style
You're going to get a huge dose of Kyrie, playing at the iconic MSG, warring with the Raptors, Sixers.....Tatum is coming into his own as a respectable baller.
Could be fun
