Celts at Sixers tonight 7:00 pm (est) Should be a good one. Two key veteran acquisitions for Celts have been on fire this young season Jeff Teague - 7.3 ppg Tristan Thompson - 7.4 ppg And potential Rookie of the Year candidate Payton Pritchard who I've heard so much about - 8.8 ppg Hopefully we'll able to slow them down just a bit tonight folks Slow em' down? You guys curb-stomped them Celtics. Looks like Philly's headed to the NBA finals

Covid cancelations are destroying the season right now.

I caught some of the 76ers game. Embiid scored 42 but looked a little rough. Seems unfocused and not very sharp with his decision making.

Really good game between Celtics and Sixers kind of fizzles out at the end as the Celtics went ice cold in the 4th quarter. Kemba and Jaylen Brown were hot all night until the last part of the game, and with Embiid dominating, the Sixers take it.
Embiid is an absolute beast, no doubt, but I'm still wondering when Ben Simmons will actually start looking like what I keep hearing he should look like. He does a lot of good things, but looks just lost on the offensive end. Maybe he'll play better on Friday as the two teams play again in Philly.

Slow em' down? You guys curb-stomped them Celtics. Looks like Philly's headed to the NBA finals Thanks. I completely agree It was actually an off game for us
We were undermanned without Seth Curry and our rookie sensation Tyrese Maxey had an off game too
Nobody can stop Joel - he's a quasi hybrid version of Hakeem/Wilt - can pretty much do whatever he wants to out there.
He can pretty much do what he wants to out there
I'm starting to sense the only thing that can stop us at this point is Covid.

Ben Simmons Carson Wentz
Never thought I'd see the day
I love both players but it's ugly in this town in regards to both right now
Since the Harden trade fell through - 75% of the city is clamoring for the Sixers to swap Ben and assets for Bradley Beal as there's been rumors Beal may become disgruntled with his situation. Pairing of Simmons/Westbrook would be ugly though. Other's are clamoring for Zach Lavine who's averaging over 28ppg but are under the impression it wouldn't take Ben to get him. Others are still clamoring for Buddy Hield who's been rumored to be on the move for over a year now
Morey's going to make a move before the deadline
Nobody brings this up but prior to the bubble last year he missed a lot of time with a back injury. Then returned to the bubble for a short period of time and went out with a leg injury to end his season. He looks like half the player he was his rookie year. This has been the worst year of his career.
Fans are up in arms for numerous reasons.
1. He still won't shoot from the outside 2. He stagnates the offense in half court sets. They experimented with him at the '4' as Point Forward before the Bubble. This is where he needs to be. Pushing the ball up the court in transition after a rebound where he's a wizard; however he needs a traditional backcourt of a '1' and '2' (the 2 being a Combo Guard) with him. i.e. they should start Maxey/Seth(or Shake) with him if they are going to hold onto him. Others are calling for them to stick him at the '3' and leave Tobias at the '4' 3. This has been his worst year finishing at the rim. He's still just a slasher. Driving to the rim like an out of control Bull in a China Shop getting caught in the air not knowing what to do with the ball in turn turning it over, or throwing up an ugly floater/hook/layup/whatever they are at an ugly angle awkwardly off the backboard
It's been incredibly ugly
I feel like I'm watching the Carson Wentz of the Sixers and it's breaking my heart

He only had 1 turnover and 2 personal fouls
Finished as a +8 for the game
That's the scary thing about him - you look up and he has 42 and 10
Celts were up in the 4th. Before where I used to worry about Jo's turnover's late in games - putting the ball on the floor while be double teamed- it seems like he's been playing better down the stretch and taking better care of the ball. This was the type of game they lose under Brett Brown

Nets lose to Cavs in 2 OT 147-135 on Kyrie's return. Outscored 20-8 in 2nd OT. Durant 12-25 38 in 50 minutes Kyrie 15-28 37 in 48 minutes Harden 6-14 21/10/12 in 50 minutes Sexton 42, Cavs 20-40 from 3. Jarrett Allen 12/11 with 4 blocks. I love this
They are public enemy #1 in my eyes
Not the Celtics, not the Lakers
Every time I see this team lose - it's going to put a giant smile on my face

Oddly enough iirc FSU has a 7'2" guy who did appear to have hands like Olajawon.

They need to get a rim defender asap. DeAndre is not doing it. Cavs and Warriors big 3s each lost their first game together, Cavs 88-80 and Warriors 129-100 - they were 7-33 from 3. Outrebounded 55-35.

Going to be fascinating to watch it all unravel
I'm actually shocked Durant is playing so well after his injury at 32 years old - I expected him to lose a step - wonder if he can keep it up all year

You could say they were clicking last night, but gave up 142 to the 2nd worst scoring team in the league. Saw some matador defense from those guys.

Draymond tossed vs the Knicks in 2nd quarter. The crew chief told Kerr that the second technical on Green was a mistake. The other referee thought he was yelling at him when he was yelling at Wiseman.
W's lose to go to 8-7.

Celtics at Sixers 7:30pm
Let's see if Marcus Smart - the biggest flopper in the history of the game - starts crying again tonight about Jo-Jo flopping
There's always been some bad blood between these two - instigated of course by The Phantom of the Flopera - Marcus Smart
