Pelicans beat Celtics after being down by 24 points.
Biggest comeback in Pelican history. All on national TV .
TV broadcast says Zion Williamson leads NBA in points in the paint. And who said Zion was a bust?

Suns are 30-11 over their last half of a normal 82-game season (corresponding to 60-22 for a full season)
Wizards streaking, 2 games behind the #8 spot. In the #13 spot, but only 3 1/2 games behind the #4 Pacers. Big jammup in the East - Bucks #3 and only 18-13.
Jazz at .806 (25-6). No other team is above .688.

Probably thought it was "hand is part of the ball." Raptors, Mavs, and Celtics all .500.

Not sure but I see him as a better all around player than Lebron. In fact if he had Lebron's handles, which are not all that spectacular, he could be the top player in the league imo.

So the Celtics are down 23 at the half after giving up 73 to the Hawks.....
The Atlanta Hawks....
I think it's getting pretty clear that this team is a total trainwreck who's coach has completely lost the farm.
It's been fun watching Bobby Brady coach a NBA team, but I'm thinking it's time for a change.
And that's enough of Kemba Walker as well. The guy smiles all the time, win or lose. That plays well in Charlotte, but I think somebody should tell the guy he plays in Boston now. We expect a bit more than just having a good time on the court.
This loser mentality is now rubbing off on guys like Tatum and Brown. A change has to be made, immediately.

Warriors-Pacers one of the worst games I've seen in a long time. Only saving grace is that the Warriors barely won. Steph 1-11 from 3.

Lakers have lost 4 straight without AD. Hate to say it, actually no I don't , but he's a more skilled player than Lebron James.

NBA Insider Kevin O'Connor joins Colin Cowherd at 1:45
Can't wait to hear NBA Trade Buzz
Week or so back he reported the Sixers are looking to make a big move - Kyle Lowry's name has been thrown out there
Kyle is from Philly - played at 'Nova and reportedly has stated he'd like to come home to Philly. He's in the last year of his contract - so a trade by the Raptors appears likely - I can't see them thinking they actually have a shot at the title this year - swap Lowry for a young player with potential and some picks.
i.e. I'd hate to lose Green and Maxey but they'd probably have to be part of the deal to make salary work - something like Green, Maxey, Scott, #1 for Lowry - Sixers have dough from a trade exception too (from the Horford/Green deal) - like 8 mil or so forget the exact number the #s don't have to match - can be off by that # - i.e. they can take a little more salary back.
Ben Joel Tobias Lowery
That's kind of tough to beat

I just checked the standings
2 games under .500 and if the playoffs started today - the Cs wouldn't make it.
What happened?

2 games under .500 and if the playoffs started today - the Cs wouldn't make it.
What happened?
Too many bad drafts left the Cs with a depleted bench, Walker is useless. Tatum and Brown, while very good players, aren't leaders. This is exactly what I said after the playoffs last year. This team is lacking in talent and without Smart out there, competitive spirit. In retrospect they overachieved last year, all things considered. Major changes are imminent. Stevens will be gone (and I'm not blaming him alone, but he has to accept part of the blame) and Ainge should join him, frankly. Look at Ainge's picks since Tatum at #3 in 2017. Semi Ojeleye (generally useless) Kadeem Allen (?) Jabari Bird (?) Robert Williams (coming on of late, a serviceable big man if not a true difference maker) Romeo Langford (terrible) Grant Williams (a poor man's Semi Ojeleye) Tremont Waters (can't escape the G League) Aaron Nesmith (useless so far) Payton Pritchard (a pleasant surprise so far) And I know there's stuff beyond Ainge's control. Kyrie wigging out, Horford bolting, Hayward's injuries and eventual exit; but he's had plenty of opportunities to make trades to improve this roster, and sat on his hands as the team got worse. Whatever vision he had for the future of this team blew up in his face, and we need a new direction. As for Brown and Tatum. Like I said earlier, both great players, but neither are true alphas. They can't rally a team or raise everyone else's game through force of personality. They put up points and go home with the loss. There's a term for that kind of player, it's called a 'good stats/bad team' player. Kemba Walker was clearly that guy in Charlotte, put him on a franchise with actual expectations and he's total garbage. I don't want to be overly critical of Brown and Tatum. Either of them is a great second option on a championship contender, but neither of them knows how to be 'the guy.' You can still build around what they bring to the table. I always thought giving Kemba Walker a max deal was a huge mistake, though. Fuck that guy, I wouldn't care if we straight up cut him and ate his contract. Unfortunately for Stevens (again he isn't completely innocent but I also don't think it's entirely his fault), he won't last the season. Ainge knows his job is also on the line and I think we're going to see fireworks at the deadline. And that doesn't necessarily mean a blockbuster deal that miraculously makes us a contender this season. One way or another this team has to be blown up.

Dire indeed.
Any chance they blow it up at the trade deadline?
Sometimes you need to take a step back to take 2 steps forward in life, no?

Sometimes you need to take a step back to take 2 steps forward in life, no? And of course, Kemba has a big night as the Cs come back to win. If only I could light a fire under this guy every night.
